Hello all- the poll for the additional group read for October is coming soon. I am hoping to get it up tonight or tomorrow at the latest. Life is just a bit busy right now :) but I promise it will be up soon.

A few notes to pass on - remember the asterisk (*) denotes a book that is free on Kindle/nook. Also- I know that the last title is a repeat from last time, I included it because it was the runner up last month and because I have seen a little buzz about it. Also, the Amish pick this month -The Secret Keeper is a part of a series, but I saw plenty of comments from folks that read it that say it is fine as a standalone, so included it as Beverly Lewis is great! Finally- all of the titles here are available at my local library, so I am hoping that they are in your libraries as well. Thanks everyone!

(This title was requested by a member to include this month, so just a heads up if you ever want to request a title for me to include on the list, don't hesitate. As long as it's a mainstream title that can be obtained through the libraries I am willing to put it on the list.

So happy with this selection. It is one of my favorite books ever, written about my time and place. I identified with so much of this story and cannot wait for the discussion.

I'm looking forward to reading this book. I have read other books by Ann Tatlock and enjoyed them. As a bonus, I got it free on my Kindle about a year ago! I also noticed it is available on Paperback Swap if anyone needs a copy.

Sandra- It has been a kindle download freebie in the past, but right now it is $2.99 through Amazon. I would check your library and see if it might be available- my library had it, so I was encouraged. Generally the books that are free to download through ŷ������ tend to be the older classics- Emma by Jane Austen, etc. Hope that helps answer your question. No, just upload to your kindle app. and read away at your own pace. On the 15th I will start a new discussion thread on the book and there will be questions you can answer, pose your own questions or just make comments about what you liked/didn't like about the book.

@Cheryl: When do you think you will post next month's additional group read poll since we have both if the Main Group Read choices? Just wanted to clear than up so I know how soon I can vote.

Hi Natalie- thanks for asking- usually, the additional group read poll is posted on the 20th of each month. This time the additional group read (because it is a mid month read )will not take place for November or December as we are making it easy on our members and doing one group read for December. So I will post the next poll on December 20th for the additional group read for January. So be sure to nominate a title for the December main group read. :) Thanks!!

Answer to question #1- I've read , which I did like, not quite as much as I'll watch the moon, but it did have some great character's as well. I think that it's safe to call Ann Tatlock a "character driven" author as I feel with both books that I have read by her that her character's feel like real people, or someone you have met before. And there always tends to be a nostalgic feel to her writing as well, a bit of a sweet melancholy, if that makes any sense.
