It's about a girl who works on a farm and ends up having to coach a boy she doesn't like. There's also something in the description about her family not wanting her to play football, but I haven't gotten to that yet.
I'm not good at describing. :/

Haha. That's okay. You described it pretty good to me. Sounds interesting!!!! Let me know how it goes(:
It was actually better than I expected. :)
Have any of you read The Wolves of Willoughby Chase? I really want to read it!

Highly recommend checking them both out!
Heaven by Randy Alcorn really inspires you to ponder and long for our eternal home. It's so much more than playing harps and eternal worship.
And Life Is by Judah Smith is a humorous but loving book about how life with Jesus should be lived. Showing us how to have peace and joy in the here and now.

I absolutely love books set in the 1800's! So I'll probably overload you with recommendations, but... Depending on what you like, here are some of my favorites to choose from. :)
Refiner's Fire series by Lynn Austin
The Everstone Chronicles series by Dawn Crandall
Ladies of Distinction series by Jen Turano
Ladies of Liberty series by Tracie Peterson
I would also highly recommend Julie Klassen's and Karen Witemeyer's books-- all of them are very good! :)

I Will Praise You in the Storm: The Story of Stephen and Holly Deaube, a Journey of Faith
Hahahaha!! Nope, I know I will surely cry my eyes out on this one but I am still so looking forward to reading this one ((((;

I would love to read your book. I highly doubt I would be able to read this without crying though.
My mom is thinking about ordering this book for a very dear friend of ours who just lost her little ten year old boy, Luke. He was my little brother's best friend and we all loved him so much. He was such a wonderful kid and he loved the Lord. One day he was playing at my house with my younger sibling when I was away at camp and he just stopped breathing. No reason, he was a healthy, active boy. God just decided it was Luke's time. Of course, I was devastated, I loved Luke too, and everything seemed to be going. My grandpa was in the hospital and we didn't know if he would live (he made a complete recovery, Praise God), my sister-in-law had a miscarriage and it was a tough time.
I was reading what you posted of your testimony and I showed it to mom and she read it and I just printed it off to give to Vicki, Luke's mom. It is such an encouraging testimony of how God is always with you.

Karis, So sorry to hear about your friend Luke (Vicki):( I would suggest you read it first to see if it is appropriate for Vicki this early after Luke's death. I am a leader in a Griefshare ministry for those who have lost loved ones. My book is a very inspiring book, but it is also very sad. :) :( She is still early in her grief process, the time may not be right for her. :) PS. If I can be of any further help please feel free to ask <3

This book tells a story about a girl who was born with an incurable disease. Because of this disease the girl is not able to digest any food without medication. After years full of visits to the hospital, surgeries, etc, the girl falls inside a tree when she’s playing with her sister. After the fall the girl meets God in heaven , who is telling her that her time on earth has not finished yet, and after the meeting in heaven she comes back to earth. The fall that should have been fatal, has only given her some bruises, and in the hospital the doctors find out that the impossible has happened: she has been healed from an incurable disease.
This story made me hungry to see Gods glory, his power, his ability to do wonders and OUR ability as Christians to pray for healing in Jesus name. the story also leaves me with questions like: why would God wait 12 years with healing a little girl from a disease? So that her life would be a testimony
to prove his strength? But what I think is more important than this question is that there is healing power when we pray and trust in God, and this story made me want to see miracles. Do you know more books about miracles?

Hi Anna! I understand the movie is coming out about this book. :) But remember, God does not always choose to heal, in fact, in most cases He chooses not to intervene. Why does God heal some and others He does not? It is not that He can't or He won't or they are not worthy, but whether He wills it. God has a reason when He chooses to withhold a miracle. He knows which will best glorify Himself.
When a little girl is healed, what should be our reaction? Praise and glory to our great God! What is our reaction when another little girl or boy is not healed? Praise and Glory to our great God! What is the difference? Where Is God's power displayed most, in the healed or the unhealed child? One child is healed and suffers no more and lives while the other suffers tremendously and dies and is healed in death. Both are healed, it's a matter of His timing. In which does God receive the greater glory? Both!
We should always pray in Jesus name, but what does that mean? It is more accurate to pray God's will in Jesus name. Jesus is our greatest example of this (Luke 22:42), "Father, if YOU ARE WILLING, take this cup from me; yet not MY WILL, but YOURS BE DONE." His prayer is the most powerful prayer ever prayed, but God said "No." Did Jesus not pray hard enough? Jesus qualified his prayer with, "IF YOU ARE WILLING..." Or what is commonly referred to as the Lord's Prayer, "Our father in heaven hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, YOUR WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven." We should pray for God's healing if it is God's will.
It is not always God's will to heal or produce a miracle. He has other ways other than healing to show His power. If you are looking for God's glory, His power, His ability to do wonders, look into a childs face who is dying of a terminal disease and praises God. There is no greater praise than that! Jesus's death did not end in a period, it ended with a comma. When God chooses not to intervene (to heal), and a Christian dies, look what happens before and especially after the comma, there is where you will see the power of God displayed to the world. Anna, a child's death can be an equally powerful testimony to the world :) God bless you Anna! I'm encouraged to see kids your age reading such books!
~Danny :)
Here is a book about God's will and a powerful message.
