It's time for November's group read nominations! If you haven't done this before, our rules can be found here: /topic/show/.... If you have questions, please ask.

Our theme for November is Asian Characters/Setting or Culture. You may nominate 2 Young Adult books, one that is themed and one that is not. Please label your books as themed and non-themed. Nominations will run for about a week.

Don't forget to check the group's bookshelf for books we've already read. /group/books...

Please include authors' names when nominating. Authors may not nominate their own books!

Thanks!

Non-themed: The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky"

We've read The Perks. For some reason our bookshelf alphabetically sorts by first word, even if the word is "the"...

I had a review copy of Ink, which I thought was excellent (YA that is enjoyable as an adult).

Ink (Paper Gods, #1) by Amanda Sun

Eden, does The Poison Apples have Asian characters or setting? I couldn't tell from the description.

I received an e-mail request nominating The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd as a non-themed read.

When I did a search for books with Asian characters, that's one of the books that was on a blog I found. Here is the link:

I'm looking forward to discussing Never Fall Down. It's an intense read, but wonderfully done.

I haven't read anything by Patrick Ness, though I know he's pretty popular. Is More Than This a good one to start with?
