Reassignments

�� We have decided to close the sign-up thread to the Tower Teams Reading Challenge, except for replacement players who exactly fit our needs.

�� We are going to fill the gaps from absent Team Members on the Teams from within our current Team Members.

�� In order to do this, we will reassign the Team Members of Banana Mania and the Mods of Cadet Blue to various Teams. We have been working on this for quite awhile and have tried to be as equable as possible.

�� In an effort to keep Banana Mania as together as possible, we are moving some of the Mods.

�� New Team Members will appear in solid gold or teal on the SU and TA. (See screen below, blue arrow.)

�� Teams that will receive players are those that are below the 1,350 goal, after the Adjusted Goal (upward) done on September 29th. (Light peach colored columns on the TA.)

�� Also, for the first time, those Teams that have members who are below 32% as of the SU on October 20th will have their goals adjusted downward. These are indicated by the highlight of their percent in light purple on the SU and the TA. (See screen below, pink arrow.) (Note: the “on-target�� goal on the October 20th SU was 52.3%.)

�� Red arrow shows Adjusted Goal, with new Team Member. The number right above that is the Adjusted Goals without the new Team Member.

�� Reassigned Team Members with redeemed cupcakes for larger books read have been carried over to their new Teams, and we will provide the Captains with a list for their records. Please give us a few days to do this. We will post notices, as they take effect, in the Cupcake Redemption Thread in the Captains' Group.

�� We will also apply any unused earned cupcakes to a transferring member’s Team, if applicable (such as “blinkie’s��). This may take us much, much longer, and we’ll gladly take reminders.

�� Team Members who are already at 100%, and were NOT previously adjust on September 29th, will be adjusted down to 95%. If it applies, in the “Lowered Goal�� column it says “Raised Goal if at 100%.�� (Lowered Goals in light purple; raised goals in pink, as noted by the blue arrow.)

�� We would appreciate Team Members moving on their own to their new Teams; however, if they stay where they are and we will track them from there. They may leave the names of their bookshelves the same.

�� The final October Halloween Read-a-Thon numbers changed things up a bit, before this was even done; so, keep that in mind when looking at the rankings. Still the top four Teams remain where they were.

�� Since Corey (transferring from Banana Mania) is at 35%, we have given Pewter Blue a percentage of Holly (QC)'s books.

You can't. The challenge has already been won by team Moonstone.

The mods will be creating another team challenge next year.

Sorry, Karine, the challenge is closed and winners have been declared.

Some Teams and Team Members are going on to see if they are able to reach their personal goals. If you would like to be a replacement member to one of these Teams, you may. However, the monthly challenges and games will no longer be in use.

Since game officially ended, some players decided they don't want to continue and some teams are still trying to reach 1350 books, so here is where replacement comes in. They and their books would replace player who doesn't want to continue reading till team reaches 1350 or new challenge starts (whichever comes first) :D

You would join the "sister group," then just 'tag' your books with the designated shelf. This would help them reach their goal, if someone had "dropped out" (not the right term, as the challenge is officially over, but still...) If the Team you joined did any of their own monthly challenges, you could join them, too.

so my books would count as of today? or as of the beginning or the actual challenge?

Since the start of the "end" of the challenge. I'd have to check and see when that was.

Also, it might be after the holidays before I assign you a Team. I have to figure out who is doing what (staying or going).

BTW, I mean the Thanksgiving holidays, not the Christmas holidays. In other words, probably not until December 2nd or 3rd.

every year my minimum goal is 50, but now that I am no longer in school I read more often. This year (starting from Jan, Im at 84 read, and should finish with about a 100.

Alright, Karine. We'll keep that in mind when we assign you to a Team.
