Steve Downes (stevedownes) | 53 comments I don't have a great name for a novelist, I'll think I'll change it, any suggestions? ... what about 'Z.X. Killford-Barrington-Steal'?

Hmm that'd be good if you want to fill a page and not worry about anything else on it.

In other words, I think it's too long. :p

What's wrong with your name? I like it.

Dawn J Stevens (dawnjstevens) | 51 comments What's in a name? Honestly, I don't give a lot of thought to author's names. I almost assume they are pen names, not real, and thus are just a "tag" for all the books they've authored. Your name right now is perfect, because it's short and easy to remember.

Karen (okiewashere) | 57 comments Steve Downes is a perfect name for a novelist. It sounds great. I just imagine telling a friend that I just reviewed the latest Steve Downes. I would like to tell this one day. ;)

Lots of people were upset that I won't be using Bisky Scribbles as my name on my book :I

Think everyone underestimates how dark the book is going to be :p

I think your name is fine :p

Brian Basham (brianbasham) | 390 comments I think your name is fine. It doesn't make as much sense anymore to have a pen name. This is the information age. If someone really likes your writing then they are probably going to find out what your real name is.

I have to side up with Brian. In this age, no information stays hidden for long. (And why ruin a nice book cover with a mile long name anyway. :P )
