So both shelves are called on Sun - you then have til the next Sat to post your book/review. Just making sure I understand it correctly.

That's right, Melissa! (and books/reviews, though you do have a little leeway, but as two more are coming up on the next day, get to it quickly! Beware the three pending books!)

Yes Skandia, all rules of previous bingo rounds apply, just with the added Speed Bingo Rules as outlined by Steph ;)

I'll definitely be lurking this round. I want to sign up so badly, but I have a feeling last minute wedding planning is going to make 2 books a week difficult. *sigh* It's so hard to say no though!

I love Sailor Moon too. It was my very first anime I've ever saw when was a little kid before I knew it was an anime! :)

I know sign ups are not done yet, but seeing as the first shelf announcement is in 4 days any chance we can get a sneak peek at the shelves for this round?

We're still hammering out the list, Dawn. There'll be some GR shelves and some personal shelves. The GR shelves have been checked to ensure there are over 1,000 bks or more listed on each. So, hopefully we won't run into problems with them.

Cards will be going up on team threads as soon as they're created. But, those are pending everyone's RSVP so players can be confirmed and shuffled for teams.

Can't blame a girl for trying.

Just checking - are teams going to be posted tomorrow >> Fri or Sat. Also, what time on Sunday will you be posting shelf announcements so I can kind of figure out time to be checking on Sat. Thanks!!

Oops! I missed the *typically in the morning* comment - sorry about that....

I will be at a wedding event Friday and Saturday and so will have limited access to a computer. I will get on and check in with my team however. No worries. But the shelf will be called my time while I'm at the wedding on Saturday. I forgot about how that works.

No dramas Leslie, just log in when you can. Not as if we're gonna a have a winner the first 24 hrs. LOL.

Team threads (with member names and bingo cards) will be posted either today or tomorrow (Thur-Fri), my time (Cali). Miss Sandra is working with Mr. R this round for shelf announcements. So, teams will have a chance to chat about names and select captains before the first shelves are announced.

Just a couple of reminders and info about this speed round:
� TWO SHELVES A WEEK
As we mentioned, each Sunday (AU Time), two shelves will be announced. Members must choose 1 book from each shelf and share their choices with their team. In order for the team to get a shelf stamp, each member much have read, rated and reviewed a book for the shelf. Because of the two-shelf change, it is possible for teams to get two stamps a week, which will make this round go by quicker.

� THREE STRIKES, YOU'RE OUT
Because this round will have a faster pace, members are required to be no more than 2 reviews behind by the time the next two shelves are announced. If a player falls 3 book reviews behind, they will be eliminated from the challenge. Any team that loses a player for this reason will continue on as is.

The BSB ninjas will be keeping an eye on things, as usual. But, we ask that Team Captains do the same and notify us if a member falls 3 reviews behind.

� FIVE STAMPS, YOU WIN
The way to win has not changed. To win, a team must have five stamps in a row, either diagonally, vertically or horizontally. Please request your stamps here.

� THE FREE SPACE
The FREE SPACE is not covered by the 3-strikes rule. There is no time limit on books RR&R'd for this space as it is not an "announced shelf". However, please keep in mind that teams earn their FREE SPACE stamp only after all team members have RR&R'd a qualifying book. Please review the FREE SPACE rules for three spots to choose your FS book.

� SOME THINGS STAY THE SAME
Along with the FREE SPACE rules, other rules remain the same as well. For instance, all books must be 200 pages or more. No graphic novels are allowed. Re-reads are allowed. Anthologies found on the shelves are allowed, but the entire book must be read. Reviews do not have to be long, but they do have to tell us more than "I liked it!". Please let us know that you liked it, but also tell us what you liked about it. Will you continue on with the series? Did you have a favorite quote? Make us want to read it too. Or, tell us why we should steer clear.

Isn't that a fun rule! Will certainly keep us on our toes, or huddled up with our books...can just hear it now, "Not now honey, I know you want to eat but I absolutely have to finish this book & review first. Food really isn't THAT necessary...besides, you have hands and opposable thumbs." Ha. (sp on opposable? Need more coffee....)

LOL. Not sure that reason would go over very well here.

Well, it doesn't go over very well here either...but grumbling I can deal with. I can also run to another room and block the door. Or run to the laundromat and take HOURS to do the laundry... *grin* (have a semi-broken washing machine, it spews water from the bottom every few loads, so shopping for a new one. Ugh. BUT, this one was just a cheap, used temporary when the last one broke, say, 5 years ago? It's done it's job, now I'm gonna pick something nice...)

LOL! :D Hope everyone had a fun Halloween! We got swarmed by little tikes in all sorts of cute, scary, odd costumes and ran outta candy (even from our own personal stash) in about 1 hr! Marines multiply like rabbits! :D
