Amy H (twinypa) | 106 comments Hello everyone!

i thought i would post something because it seems we are the only group that is not doing a november challenge so i thought we could brain storm on ideas..

here is what i have thought about, but please add your own ideas or tell me what would be good so we can earn some points!
1.) we can do A-Z challenges for book titles or authors..
2.) we can do a "monthly" challenge where you read books based off of each month like:
January: winter, snow, sliver, white, cold, shiver, smoke, fire, freeze, breath
February: love, heart, sweet, family, grace, animal, diamond, life, drink, beautiful
March: luck, wish, gold, rainbow, green, mountain, valley, magic, farm, treasure,
April: secret, flower, garden, friend, light, shadow, whisper, home, gentle, little,
May: bird, shine, laugh, clothing, name, run, shatter, lost, wings, world
June: Sand, Sun, beach, island, country, sea, fly, away, never, far
July: high, control, take, candle, night, spark, dream, soul, beat, spy
August: come, look, gift, cloud, food, clear, tree, orange, test broken
September: shade, cry, blow, memory, kiss, space, fast, storm, blue, club
October: witch, hunt, murder, death, phantom, inside, fear, weapon, trapped, ghost,
November: Brave, forever, last, right, cave, work, window, number, thief, under
December: princess, ring, road, midnight, fountain, time, hope, together, star, throne,
3.) we can do about "us" challenge like:
1: Read your Birthday Month (Spell it out challenge)
2: Read your Birthstone (Spell it out challenge) or read 3 or 4 books with covers that match the color of your birthstone or 3 or 4 books with the name of your Birthstone in the title
3: Read your sign (Spell it out challenge)
4: Read your Chinese zodiac sign (Spell it out challenge)
Read your favorite flower (Spell it out challenge) or read 3 or 4 books with your favorite flower on the cover
5: Read 3 or 4 books set in a country you'd like to visit
6: Read 3 or 4 books from your favorite genre
7: Read 3 or 4 books with your child or a friend
8: Read 3 or 4 books written by some of your favorite authors
9: Set yourself a personal goal to exceed the amount of books you normally read in a month
10: Read one of your favorite foods (Spell it out challenge)
11: Read 3 or 4 books by authors you've never read before, but have been meaning to
12: Read your favorite Book Crush's name

Joyce (eternity21) I like the A to Z challenge
Reading 3 or 4 books by an author you've never read
or from a favorite genre, or favorite author,
Reading your birthday month

Or how about something with chunkster books. Don't we get extra credit on those? I know I have a couple I've been wanting to read.

or even another read a thon...that really motivated me to read more

message 3: by Midu (new)

Midu Hadi I suggest either option #2 or books by new authors (6 or so)?

message 4: by Amy (new)

Amy H (twinypa) | 106 comments It doesn't matter to me what we do. From what I saw other groups are doing the a-z with one or two other ones added so how about we figure out a couple we want to do and add it to our a-z and we are done lol!

message 5: by Midu (new)

Midu Hadi good idea, so make it 5 each? like 5 letters of new authors, 5 letters of something else etc

message 6: by Amy (new)

Amy H (twinypa) | 106 comments That sounds great!

message 7: by Amy (new)

Amy H (twinypa) | 106 comments ok so after looking at other groups i think this will work for our november challenge:

we will do

A-Z challenge (author or book title)

then we will add read 3-4 books from a author you never read

lastly read 3-4 book that evolve your birth month( i have a list above with all the months)
example: my birthday is July so i would have to read 3-4 books that deal with July (high, control, take, candle, night, spark, dream, soul, beat, spy)

let me know if this will work for everyone and i will start the tread for the challenge since it starts tomorrow

Midu Hadi works for me!

message 9: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (engelsigh) It works for me too.

But can we do some kind of bonus if we read chunky books? We could use more of those.

Sandy and I have been doing the puzzles to trade in for BAPs

SandyC (sandyc88) | 170 comments That works for me. Thanks for doing this, Amy!

Amy H (twinypa) | 106 comments Your welcome!

message 12: by Amy (new)

Amy H (twinypa) | 106 comments ok i am posting the new thread now, so we can start posting books over there for this challenge! and as a team we can figure out something for "chunky" books!

message 13: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) works for me too

Jennifer and Sandy I can help do some of the puzzles.Do we just do all of them from the beginning of the game? I just don't completely understand. I thought we could only do them at certain times.

We can only do puzzles for November now. I'm not sure if they're posted yet. But if you do a puzzle come back here and let us know so we don't duplicate efforts - although there are some puzzles that the whole team can complete for points.
