Jess (jesmy777) This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside.

Laura | 54 comments Just started this today! Dystopian fiction tends not to be my favorite, but I'm enjoying this a lot so far.

Stephanie (sloyson) | 13 comments Just started this as well! Can't wait to read it as I've heard so much about it.

Jess (jesmy777) I'm going to start tonight. I'm kind of bummed after reading Allegiant, so I'm ready for a new book!

lol not that this is relevant but i absolutely hated divergent so I'm not surprised you're bummed after reading allegiant.

unless you mean it's a sad book.

It's uselessly sad. I was so annoyed, I almost didn't finish it. I liked Divergent until about halfway through, then it got really insane and annoying.

Stephanie (sloyson) | 13 comments I'm halfway through this book and I'm really liking it so far. I'm really enjoying Juliette and the plot twists are great.

Yeah, I agree about Juliette and the plot twists! But I do find it's dragging a bit. I was really into books 1, 2, and 3, but found 4 tough to get through at times. 500+ pages seems liked it could have been edited down a touch. Overall though, I like it a lot.

Stephanie (sloyson) | 13 comments So I've finished this book yesterday and does anyone else but me think the ending was a bit abrupt? Like one minute Juliette was fighting for her life and then everything was nice and dandy?

Karen’s Library Wool author Hugh Howey is currently doing a week long Q&A. Best Q&A ever! Pop in and ask anything! :)

I'm having trouble getting into Wool I don't know why. Hopefully it picks up for me soon. I haven't been trying to read it really hard though

I don't even know if I'm reading the right addition.

message 13: by Jess (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jess (jesmy777) I still haven't started. I'm a bad reader lately.

I understand, I'm really bad too lately. Let alone getting books that are part of the book club, lol.

Jess (jesmy777) Yep! My to-read folder on my Kindle is crazy looking. And, I've just recently started reading more books on my Kindle Fire... Its madness.

Jess (jesmy777) Okay, finally read this last week.

I really enjoyed it, but yes, I completely agree that the ending was abrupt, especially since there had been so much detail throughout the book.

I did like all of the plot twists. (view spoiler)
