Hi Laure, and WELCOME to the group.I love sci-fi/fantasy but it must be earth-based as long as it's not something like the new trend of a zombie apacolypse, lol!Just cannot get into other-worlds or space operas,[or zombies which IMO is horror, not sci-fi],and won't even attempt to read books with names or places that I can't even pronounce, unless it's seldom mentioned, lol!

Don't even know what a "new age twist" means, but I'm sure that those who do will let you know.

Laure Reminick (LaureReminick) Yeah, this zombie stuff is way beyond me. Even came across a zombie accountant.

I submitted my favorite SciFi under that heading. Hope people like them

The books related to Pride and Prejudice sounded terrific!

Ljb anne mcaffery wrote a series that was very good. its been too long now for the details to be clear - but im sure it fits the description of clean reading. it was the 'freedom' series.

Laure Reminick (LaureReminick) Oh yes, I love all her books. The grand dame of women SciFi novelists.

Laure Reminick (LaureReminick) Christine, would the Stephanie Plum novels be okay for this group? There is some sex, but not gratuitous -- actually generally comical.Three to go Deadly

No,those books not only have graphic sex, but profanity as well, including 'F' bombs! Not at all what I think readers looking for 'clean' books want to encounter.

Laure Reminick (LaureReminick) Okay. Now understand more. Thanks

Hi Laure,I just added this edit to my introduction of this group. It might help explain my guidelines more clearly. :]

~"Think of the books to be allowed as 'Squeaky Clean',but free of the religious proselytizing of Christian/Inspirational books.

Laure Reminick (LaureReminick) Excellent way to explain. Thanks
