Eric | 2 comments maybe YA, I remember it started with a kid living his normal life when something happens and he 'jumps' and notices things are slightly different from his old world. he gets chased by the standard mysterious thugs before being rescued by.. himself. he and his doppelganger wind up jumping again to a wasteland of a world, the doppelganger dies, but not before informing our hero that he (and all of his multiverse identities) are the only ones who can jump between worlds and are in charge of saving them. our hero meets a weird multicolored blob that saves him and gets him to find where more of his clones are staying. after training with them they go on missions to help save the multiverse before the final showdown with the head baddie on board his ship that uses the kids' clones to power his trips between worlds. This has been driving me crazy it's not on wikipedia's list of multiple-universe stories, and I also saw a thread where someone asked about this book a year ago and no one provided an answer. I hope someone can help this time around. (I also think it was a newer book, I could be wrong tho)

Justanotherbiblophile | 1814 comments It'd be nice if that other request was cross-linked here.

I recall that request, but can't find it doing some searches.

There's a book on a related theme to this, but it is NOT the OP's book: _Resonance_ Dolley, Chris - but guy never meets any of his other selves.

Sophie (notemily) | 477 comments I'm almost positive it's InterWorld.

Eric | 2 comments yes! It was Interworld! I looked it up and recognized it as soon as I saw the cover. Thanks Sophie!
