H.L. Balcomb | 1 comments Hi there, my name is Hermy Balcomb, and I love the topic of spirituality -- the greater the diversity of its coverage, the more it appeals to me. More specifically, I love the interplay between our individuality and our spiritual practices.

On a personal note, I'm a college instructor and storyteller by default. In the middle of a crisis moment, the story of Credere (Latin, to believe) came to me. It's a parable of our times written in the afterlife, heaven, a place of complete love. One question I have always been fascinated by is how imperfect human beings fits into a world, heaven, of complete love and acceptance (since most world religions encourage 'love' as our highest development of self). At the end of writing this novel, I found a lot of peace surrounding that question - at least, in my heart's space!

Additionally, I'm a mother of three young children and lover of the outdoors, especially hiking in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I look forward to learning with and alongside each of you! Peace. Love. Inspiration. Hermy x

Cosmic Arcata | 3 comments Hi,
I have several tarot decks. I enjoy the art and perspective. I hope that there will be some discussions about the tarot. I am also interested in how one might use a tarot deck to inspire story telling and art. I have been working on a collaged deck just for fun. Recently I have been doing some time therapy. I wonder if anyone has anything to share about that. Maybe there are groups already established for these things, but I haven't had a chance to look around.

Peter Shasta (goodreadscompetermtshasta) Greetings, Search for the GuruAdventures of a Western Mystic: Apprentice to the Masters

Hi everyone,
I'm an author of several books, and teacher of what I have learned on the path over the past 50 years. I live in Mount Shasta, where I settled after many years of traveling back and forth to India. I hope that this group can fill the need for spiritual discussion about finding the inner Presence, which seems to not be available in other GoodReads groups so far. Many blessings to all,
Peter

I'm also a writer, and just published my first book in the spiritual space, "OK, So You're Dead: A Sassy Guide to the Afterlife." Anyway, the metaphysical world has changed my life, and I love everything about it (well, almost!). I look forward to some great discussions in this group.

Michelle (cshellglow) | 1 comments Hi! I am Michelle Cohen and I have been an intuitive my entire life. I just published my first spiritual book "Actually, There Is Something Under The Bed" in the hopes that parents can empower their kids and understand that many times it is not necessarily an overactive imagination that is keeping them up at night. The book also explores ways for adults to tune into their own inner guidance. I am new to ŷ and look forward to connecting more! Thanks :)

Penelope Fernandez | 1 comments My name is Penelope M. Fernandez. I am a native of Darjeeling, a little town in the foothills of the Himalayas. Hypnagogic Shifters: Superposition is my first novel and the second novel, a continuation of the first, is on its way.

Hypnagogic Shifters: Superposition, is a Sci-Fi novel following the spiritual evolution of Blaz Kruger, who leads a meaningless life, until his path intersects with

Cain, an extraterrestrial entity.Through the mind of Blaz, Hypnagogic Shifters: Superposition explores the philosophical conundrums accompanying human evolution, such as the dilemmas of morality, free-will, destiny, and the purpose of existence.

Nothing in the material sphere is sanctioned exclusion from the bonds of interconnection, not even art. Thus the conjecture that art as much one would like to believe is crafted for the sake of itself is not quite true. Instead the purpose of art is the psychological metamorphosis of the observer. And what is literature but a form of art which strings words into coherent sentences holding the potential to transform lives. It is undeniable that the hull of literature is entertainment but it must never be forgotten that the soul of literature is education.

Our world is in desperate need of a renaissance but not of art nor science nor politics, we are in need of a mental renaissance. Hypnagogic Shifters is a duology; the first book is called Hypnagogic Shifters: Superposition, and the second one is called Hypnagogic Shifters: Entanglement. The books are part of an attempt at assisting the process of evolution and recalibration of the human mind.

Jean (jeanbakula) | 3 comments Hi,
My name is Jean Bakula, I am an Astrologer, Tarot Card Reader, and have clairvoyant visions. I am currently taking courses to learn to work with them better. I meditate and have a published book of tarot poetry. I write about metaphysical topics on several online sites, like Hubpages.com and have my own blog, Spiritualitypathways.com. Nice to meet you all. I also am an avid reader. I noticed lately that all the books I review here are coming up on my Twitter feed, and I don't want that, because it's a Twitter A/C to promote my blog. How can I turn off the stuff from ŷ? I'm not very techy, intuition is more my thing!

Ariel Brown | 3 comments Greetings Shaman and Kristen,
My name is Ariel and I live in Australia. I also love reading books centred on personal growth and spirituality. In fact I have just finished re-reading a marvelous book focused on spiritual personal growth by Traci Harding titled Book of Dreams: Book of Dreams by Traci Harding

Synopsis:

A book is left on the doorstop of a young man with no future and no past who lacks direction in life. Inside the cover it reads:

It has been brought to our attention that you seem to be totally lost. If you wish to come to know what it is that constantly eludes you in life... I am your transport to seek within.

He turns the page...

Traci Harding is an Australian author, and the Book of Dreams is centred on Indigenous spirituality. It is authentic and stimulates inner-self examination. A must read for any seeker on the spiritual personal growth path..

Hi everyone,

I am the author of “The Joy Channelings. I have been channeling since 2011, and it has been such a fun and exciting journey. I received these messages on Joy throughout a period of two years, but they all seemed to fit together so I put them in this book.

I am interested in all things channeled. My favorites are Abraham Hicks and Sanaya Roman, and of course all things Seth. I come from a family of psychics (my husband and children LOL) but I never considered myself anything but normal until I picked up a Seth book and Seth started speaking to me.

I have taken Reiki Level 1, and I love feeling energy. I was never able to feel energy before 2011, when my spiritual journey exploded, for lack of a better term, and I knew people could feel energy, but I never could. Now it is wonderful to feel, wonderful to share.

Glad to meet you all. Love and Light.

The Joy Channelings

Kristen Whitaker | 3 comments Nice to meet you Helen!

That's amazing, I would love to learn reiki. I'm very sensitive energy-wise, I would love to learn how to use that in a positive way. I love Sanayan Roman and Abraham-Hicks.
: )

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

My daughter teaches Reiki so it was easy for me to find a teacher :) She taught my hubby too, he is actually level 2 now - I am behind the times...he found a local Reiki share on meetup to go to, but I find it's too much energy directed at me all at once. I can handle one at a time, but they do things in groups of 4's. But energy work is so amazing and awesome.

I've been to 3 live Abraham seminars and 1 livefeed, and the energy of that is incredible, although I can still feel energy sometimes on the you tubes that are posted (which there are 1000's if you haven't found them their yet).

Soul Love is my favorite Orin book. I have done the process that is in the first Chapter at least 5 - 6 times, dealing with inner children, and it really has changed my life as well. I am so much more centered and balanced.

Mount Shasta is a home of the Ascended Masters, who use it as a focal point for their work. You can definitely feel the energy while on the mountain. It is a sister to Mt. Kailash in India and Fuji in Japan.

L.M. Blanchard (lmblanchard) | 1 comments Greetings! Such a blessing to engage with likeminded souls. My first book "The Golden Link to Oneness" is officially out on Oct 15th. It's about spiritual awakening and connecting to the Divine that resides within. Blessings to all and thank you in advance for your kind support.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

It is so great that all of the forces are uniting to help the human race rediscover the divine that resides within us. My book is similar, but in graphic novel form. It too is about Oneness. It is entitled "OPAQUE" and has been out since May. My spiritual art, mostly taken from the graphic novel, is available on Etsy under MPGavazziArtworks.

Jean (jeanbakula) | 3 comments There is a great series beginning with The First Rule of Ten, about a Buddhist Monk who ends up moving to LA, first to open a Buddhist center, but who later on becomes a cop and then a detective. The books show how a person can do that and still live a spiritual life being a vegetarian, using the Noble Truths, the Moderate Path, and finding lots of time to meditate.

I love the title of your book and would love to read it. I'm also very intuitive and have written a screenplay about a young woman's near-death experience that included scenes in Heaven and Atlantis. It was super fun, but was never sold, unfortunately. I live in Los Angeles where there are, of course, zillions of screenwriters!

message 48: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1 comments Hello All, I am a lifelong Seeker of Truth. I have a vast number of books that I have burned through. Currently, I lead a meditation and discussion group called Spirit Quest. Currently, it seems that certain books are pushing themselves into my awareness again and when rereading them after so long, I realize how much more meaningful these words of wisdom are to me.
I would highly recommend these: The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts as Seth, The Law of Intention by Abraham and Esther Hicks, and each and every single book in the Conversations with God. Start with Book 1.

All of these will take you to a whole new way of seeing who you are, who we are, and how do I make this knowledge work for the benefit of all.

message 49: by Chris (new)

Chris | 1 comments Hello hello all, skimmed the intros and it seems like a diverse group of people here. I've just recently gotten interested in the Occult, probably has to be one of the most fascinating subjects ever. Anyway, I'm interested in discussing high weirdness and anything spiritual, particularly interested to know if people have had contact with 'entities', and what y'all's experience with that kind of thing. I know I'm in the New Age section but there's never enough people in the occult groups to have discussions with, and I figured Occult and New Age concepts overlap quite a bit.
