Jonelle (joco) | 16 comments The Project Gutenberg posts many different formats of electronic books that are in the public domain. Quite a few of the books on our list are on their site:

Where do the rest of you get your books?
Half-priced books is great, but not all of them are there either! And of course the library.

By the way, I would be willing to look into the bookshelf thing. Just let me know what you need!

Great idea about Project Gutenberg!

I tend to buy my books at B&N because I want to support the writers (who don't get paid for resold books) and a physical bookstore instead of Amazon. I will buy through Amazon when I can't find it in person, and I buy Kindle books occasionally, but the last few years, I've tried to support authors and publishers as much as possible.

I've figured out the bookshelf. The link to the right has the list of books. They are all marked as "to-read." When we select a book for the current month, I will change it to currently reading and it will show up on the main page. When we finish a book, I will mark it as read and it will show up on the main page. I still don't think there is any way to access the bookshelf from the app.

Tina (librariantee) On my android phone if I hit the menu button on the front page of the goodreads app I can switch to a full site view. Then its a fully functional site.
