@Michael Kitto I can't remember the date they (Text) told us. can you?
I'm looking forward to Landline by Rainbow Rowell. Expected release is July. I've read and enjoyed two of hers: Attachments and Eleanor & Park and I have Fangirl which I've heard great things about but haven't read yet.

26th of February, Mish...to long to wait.
I'm also looking forward to;
The Fever: A Novel by Megan Abbott
Shovel Ready: A Novel by Adam Sternbergh
Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King

Awesome. I thought they delayed it further.

I love this author but have not started this series yet. Marked as TBR - thankyou!

I've read nearly everything Brandon Sanderson's written, and The Way of Kings (first book of the series) is probably my favourite. I've taken up jogging in the past few months, and instead of listening to music, I've been listening to The Way of Kings Audiobook (45 hours of book!), which is a much more effective distraction for me :)

I really want Darkbane to come out sometime this year. It's been nine years since I read the other two.
And Tana French's Murder Squad novels.

Actually all black cats look the same. I sometimes think I see mine when I am out walking and it is always someone else's.

Haha!! Annoying Leonie!

Oh, that was my sweetie boy ... Elvis! I adopted him when he was 9 years old and had him for 7 year. He was my familiar, and my best cat (sorry Mathilda). I even got his face tattooed on my left forearm. There will never be another like him. And yes, when I see a black cat, I almost check, just to see if for some miracle, it is him..

Yeah, definitely. I really hope it comes out in 2014- it was meant to come out either this year or last, but who knows?

Oops, nope! I just meant it as a general comment. I didn't realise the thread was meant to be about books coming out this year.

No we didn't miss out! We got Phryne instead! I love both series so I am equally happy when either has a new book.

Yeah, we did. I like Phryne but it was Corinna's turn (KG alternates with writing these books) and both my 90 yr-old Mum and I were hanging out for it, but got Phryne instead. No disrespect for you or the Hon Miss Fisher, but we were counting on Corinna and I just hope Mum will still be around to enjoy the next Corinna when it comes out as she's not been at all well.

Armada by Ernest Cline (Author who wrote Ready Player One )
Tigerman by Nick Harkaway - even though I'm yet to read Angelmaker, I seriously like this sound of this one)
Frog Music by Emma Donoghue (Author who wrote Room & curious to know how different it is to Room)

You forgot to mention By Blood We Live by Glen Duncan and you really should read Angelmaker.
