i love this song, even if the video is stupid

Char I love music. I most especially love blues, hard rock and some metal. Blues will always be my favorite though. I discovered this guy, Otis Taylor, from James Newman's playlist he put together for his book Ugly As Sin. It was really cool listening to a soundtrack while reading the book.
Anyway, here is a link to my favorite Otis Taylor song (so far)Blue Rain in Africa:

I like that song Charlene, I don't understand the lyrics though I will have to look them up and read them or just listen to it a couple more times

Andy (manicsloth) | 787 comments That is a really cool idea for an author to put together a playlist for their book. There is nothing like live blues music for when you just want to sit, and drink, and move (but not dance).

Andy (manicsloth) | 787 comments Link works fine for me, Justin. I really like the intro vocals.

Ania Ahlborn made a playlist for her book seed. She let her fans who had read it suggest songs. I suggested "mouth of a cave" by themissinlink unfortunately it wasn't on YouTube or anything to listen to it.

Andy (manicsloth) | 787 comments My favorite band for the last few years is called Midlake. They are really good at changing their sound up and creating a fresh new sound for each album:

They Cannot Let it Expand (off 1st album)

Head Home (off 2nd album)

Bring Down (off 3rd album)

The Old and the Young (off 4th album)

I thought so too, Andy. Some of the songs were actually playing in the book, some were mentioned in the book and the others were not mentioned or in the book, but went well with what was happening in the story, if that makes any sense.

Also, I dig out my lullabies to paralyze album. I used to have songs for the deaf as well but it is lost.

I had to look for them after you mentioned them. I also dug out some megadeath, Marilyn Manson, union underground, dope, and slipknot cds I haven't listened to in a long time.

Well the other songs are not as good but the album was worth buying. I have watched this video about ten times in the last two days.
