In the previous chapter, the narrative voice shifts slightly and becomes "I" instead of 'we', and then in the final part of the book, it is still "I", but a different "I". This "I " does not belong to any of the three sisters, but in fact does belong to their cousin.

He is the one who tells us that the sisters eventually decided to leave this world together.

1. Do you think it was a logical conclusion for this book?

2. Why does the appearance of Violet NOT change the outcome of the sisters' decision?

3. After meeting with Professor Costello, Danny comes to a conclusion that sometimes it is better to die than live alone. What does 'alone' mean in this context? Where the sisters 'alone'?
