Funnily enough, that was a month from the release date Once Upon A Time & I coincidentally happened to read it a month after it was released!

Hm. I'm glad Leigh didn't romanticize the Darkling. At least she made it clear he was still a barking psychopath and anything else is left to the discretion of the reader. Myself, I find a total deficit of sympathy for him.
The ending... titch confusing--yet fairy-tale-ish and fitting!

I agree about the ending. And that's totally true about the Darkling. She didn't give him a 180 personality change. He's still mad.

Read it over again's my advice! I just have... and it makes more sense. (view spoiler)[ One may credit Mal's recovery to a miracle, (hide spoiler)], so I suspended my disbelief via that!
Mad, yes. They make it like he's just falling deeper into madness, which I liked.
