I'm about to leave on a week's beach holiday with intermittent access to the net so I'll get in first and choose now (just before I go, well, I still need to pack, ha ha ha)

For Lauren
Shadowdance because I loved the first 2 books (I need to catch up!)
Dark Witch Nora Roberts, 'nuff said
Master of Surrender -war? lol, can't see anything else to fit the theme!

For Karen
The Cuckoo's Calling -enjoyed this book
Act of War -lots of choices for 'war' but the first one to grab my attention with the title
Vodka Doesn't Freeze -I <3 this book!

For Marcia
Catching Fire -must read! ;) plus 'war' (I think it should fit, somewhat)
Whose Body? -good mystery
Death of Riley -I've read the first book though I must admit wasn't really that keen on following up... let me know what you think if you do read this one.

Marcia Hope I'm doing this right. According to what I read I pick one extra book than the number you picked for the challenge.

Karen:

The White War: War
The Garden of Evening Mists: I like the title
Blindsighted: Because it's been on your list the longest
Payment in Blood: I love Elizabeth George

Lauren:

Death's Rival: because it's written by an old high school friend of mine! Also war?
Lady Sophia's Lover: I may have read this one
Prince Charming Doesn't Live Here: I like the title

Tien:

The Queen's Choice: War
We Need New Names: sounds intriguing
Forever: Looks like a fun read

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1216 comments Finished Lady Sophia's Lover (Bow Street Runners, #2) by Lisa Kleypas - a warm and fuzzy read :0)

message 8: by Marcia (new)

Marcia I finished Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and posted on the main, reporting page. 5*'s, very enjoyable. That's my one book, which is just as well, as I have a book to finish for my book club in mid-March that I've only just begun.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1216 comments Finished two more books:

Changes (The Dresden Files, #12) by Jim Butcher - 4 stars. this is such a great series. It is amazing how much trouble Harry can get into.

Kisscut (Grant County, #2) by Karin Slaughter - 4 stars. A good if disturbing plot. Unfortunately, the characters are not likable.

Karen (karenofthebookworm) I haven't even started my books yet, the whole work thing is getting in the way. :-(

message 11: by Alexa (new)

Alexa (alexbm9) I understand you, but even if work gets in the way, I fight hard to get 10 or even 20 minutes through a few pages in between while I prepare for work.

So don't be sad, you'll work something out.

message 12: by Karen (new)

Karen (karenofthebookworm) Actually if I can get this week out of the way then everything should be back to normal and I can get on with the important things - like reading my books.

Karen (karenofthebookworm) Book 2 finished, The Garden of Evening Mists 4*

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1216 comments I've also finished another book for the challenge (this will be #4): Dark Witch (The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts - 3 Stars. I think I may be growing out of Nora's writing style. I used to love her books but not so much anymore.
