This is of my all-time favorite series!! In my opinion, this series gets better with every chapter and book, until it ends with one of the absolute most perfect endings I have ever read.

Be advised that the slang takes some getting used to, but it's worth it! And oh gosh, just wait until you all meet the dog, Manchee! He's my FAVORITE book pet ever.

I just finished reading this series...I LOVED it!

When I first tried to read this book, I hated it. The slang was unbearable and I couldn't even finish the damn thing. Then I reread it back in 2013 for another book club and fell in love with the story. Here's what I thought:

So glad I decided to give this book another try. I only picked it up again because of a book club. That ending gave me such a headache. Hopefully the second book is just as great.

I read all of these books a few years ago and absolutely loved them. Such original ideas and genuinely engaging characters. Most of my reading is done on the train during the daily commute, I clearly remember that when I read these I dreaded getting to 'my stop' and would quite happily have stayed on till the end of the line!

I know that they started making a film of this and there is even a trailer on YouTube - any idea when/if it will be released?

I enjoyed the audio a great deal. Had no idea a movie was in the works though - that has me excited now!

IMDB has it listed as only "in development." There's nothing about it on the Lionsgate site that I saw. I'm thinking that trailer is a fake.

I heard the audio book so the book justice, especially with the weird dialogue. Reading it can kind of give you a headache lol

I would recommend the audio Tracey. I hate reading accents/odd dialogue - it drives me crazy and like you said gives me a headache lol.
