message 11: by Marybeth (new)

Marybeth (narutofan14) it has been a crazy week for me. I had to put away blood promise in order to read The Softwire: Awakening on Orbis 4 for my bookclub and it was alright. the whole series was a little boring. I had wednesday afternoon off due to early release and i was able to read and finish Red and it was pretty good. On thursday i started The Darkest Minds and it is alright. Yesterday i went to the library and got seven new books to read. I am now reading All the Truth That's in Me by Julie Berry and Pushing the Limits. both are so good that i am having trouble on deciding which ones to read first.

I haven't started that series. I've heard that Cassandra Clare is going to start a new sequel (or something like that) about Tessa and Will's children. (At least I think it's Tessa and Will.......

Pamela (waterspout) | 370 comments Malisa wrote: "Has anyone read the hunger games trilogy? Beautiful creatures? Nightshade? Juliet immortal? Tempest rising? Oh! And the maximum ride series?"

The Hunger Games trilogy is awesome! I've seen a lot of people who didn't like the sequels as much as the first book, but I think they were all great in their own ways ;)

Maximum Ride is a witty, action-packed series and I definitely recommend it. Character building is so huge you can't help but get attached to the characters!

If you mean Nightshade by Andrea Cremer, then yes, I have read it (: Writing style is good and background information is fascinating, but I'm not big on the plot in general.

Have you read these books, Malisa?

Yes, I have. I've finished the hunger games trilogy, the maximum ride series and just started on nightshade by Andrea Cremer. I also just started The Demon Trapper's daughter. It was a little cliche during the beginning but definitely a good/amazing read.
How about you, Pamela? What are some of your favourite books?

I love the Harry Potter series (^^), the Hush, Hush saga, the Vampire Academy series, and the Iron Fey series among many, many others. I've recently finished reading Divergent (right on time for the movie next week) and it was amazing!! You should read it if you haven't yet!

I didn't read the Harry potter series because the books at my library were literally falling apart at the time, but I did see the movies. I love them! I have read and finished the vampire academy series and eagerly waiting for it to come out in DVD. I haven't read iron fey, and I haven't read divergent. But still eager for the divergent movie next week! (I think it's next week)
I'm starting mystic city by Theo Lawrence, and Soul Thief by Jana Oliver. Both sound really interesting!
Have you read the house of night series? Or breathe by Sarah crossan?

Yeah, it is a movie. I've seen the movie and I've just started the book. I thought the movie was good, but I just didn't like some of the characters or plot twists (even though they made the story interesting). Taken is ok so far. I'm waiting until I've finished the book to form a sold opinion about it.
