I already read and enjoyed. It wasn't my favorite by her, but it was a good setup for the series. The heroine was great, as Gracie's almost always are from what I have read. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.

I will probably get it right away digitally...but I am not sure if I will be able to keep up with a BR for it.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 303 comments I've got my copy of The Day of the Duchess (Scandal & Scoundrel, #3) by Sarah MacLean and will be starting probably tomorrow if anyone is interested in a Buddy Read?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 303 comments Sorry, ladies. I didn't realise you didn't have your copies yet. I actually pre-ordered mine through the Book Depository UK, so maybe they send it out early to reach Australia by release day?

I'll hold off then ..

Is anyone planning on reading The Duchess Deal? Since it's the start of a new series, I thought I would try it. I have not gotten to the point where I have been reading TD on release typically because I still have enough of a backlog of her books.

Jan (jan130) | 2588 comments FYI Aussies - it's now up on kindle for pre-order - available 22 Feb 2018! WTAH??? So, no need to wait for us.........

message 83: by lorii (Loriidae) (last edited Aug 24, 2017 08:46PM) (new)

lorii (Loriidae) | 1120 comments Thanks Jan, yep, everyone else go ahead. Hopefully it will be so good, you will all be up for a reread in February :)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 303 comments Jan, I ordered the paperback thru Booktopia. It is still showing a 22 August publishing date.... but no book as yet. So stay tuned. I may be reading it with you in February, 18.

That's just ridiculous.. and why I hate the antiquated way publishers make deals with authors by regions. Just publish the book everywhere I say, especially e publishing. Sorry, rant over.. but it so annoying.

I am happy to wait for February....It is actually a good move for me. It will be about that time of year for me when it seems like Winter is never going to end. Weeks into it being dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I get home from work. Perfect time to read a Tessa Dare book.

message 86: by Mariana (new)

Mariana | 2691 comments Yeah, I will wait to read until February as well.

message 87: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) | 2588 comments Well, when February comes around, let's take stock again and see who has or hasn't read it, or who wants a reread. I'll look forward to that, but otherwise try to put it out of my head. I hate waiting around for a book that's not due out for ages, so I usually try not to think about it then get a nice little thrill when a forgotten pre-order downloads onto my kindle. I love it when that happens!

Sounds good! It's forgotten for now :).

For consideration now:
Loriidae and I are planning on starting another Kelly Bowen series, the Worth series. The first one is I've Got My Duke to Keep Me Warm. We are planning on starting mid- September and anyone is welcome to join!

It's tempting. I've never read any Kelly Bowen, and this might be chance to dip my toe in the water.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 303 comments Guess what turned up in the mail today... The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke, #1) by Tessa Dare . Is it still unavailable in kindle to Australia?

I'm heading away for a couple of weeks and will probably read it when I get back.

Yup there's no word yet on when it will be available here. The February date has been withdrawn and pre-orders cancelled. :(

Enjoy your trip.

Well I've already started it but put it on a hiatus while I got sidetracked by other shinies. But I'm happy to go back to it and finish it for a BR.

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments Great Jan!

Hopefully this will be better than Love in the Valley of the Kings!

I did enjoy the previous 3 books of the "Knickerbocker Club."

message 95: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) | 2588 comments Haha. I can already tell you it's a lot better! (I stopped at 45% to read some other stuff, but always intended coming back). Jo Shupe is a much better writer. I've read 2 of the other knickerbocker books and liked them as well.

Re the b-r of Mogul Mogul (The Knickerbocker Club, #3) by Joanna Shupe by Joanna Shupe:

I'm in the queue at the libarary for the ebook. I'm #2 and there are two copies of the ebook.

Can you guys wait for me? I decided to go with the library rather than buy it.

I spend too much on books! I just bought 11 eBooks for around $22. Sigh.

message 97: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) | 2588 comments I'm happy to wait. I've taken a break from it anyway so it's no drama to wait a bit longer till I pick it up again.

Definitely in for the Kelly Bowen!

I think Jan and the other Aussies will agree with me that everyone else including Lisa who has the paperback :) might as well go ahead with the Tessa Dare. Jan has discovered that there is no publishing date listed for epub here.
