Okay, so what would we even do for a main plotline? Or like concurrent books focusing on different people? How would it work?

Game of Thrones. The books, about every chapter is about a character and the occurring plot in that area etc. We can do something like that.

That would make sense. But we keep making new characters and plot lines. How will we decide on whom we should focus? We could totally market it as the love child of Game of Thrones and Sin City. XD

xD omg lol. Erm... well again, I'd imagine the main series being focused on the main plot which I'd imagine be the whole Resistance and Council war, the leading up to the climax and the result of it. Then maybe extra stuff, if they're not relevant to the main plot could be put into spin offs and such. ??

Okay, but almost everyone is tied into the plot. Whom would we want to focus on in the struggle?

*thinks* Well, we'd be doing it in third person and generally the people involved in the plot have to intermingle so that may help. I think we'd have to brain storm and do a time line and figure out who would best push the plot forward and where all the situations we want to add fit in.

Okay. That makes sense. So what program should we use to do this? I feel like GoodReads might be difficult to do something collaborative like that. Maybe Google? We could make one google account for the group (so no one has to reveal their actual email account) and make a document/whatever else for the story needs? Would that work?

Yeah, definitely agree. We could try doing that, if it doesn't work that way we can always try something else out, though the email and password established would have to be sent by pm to those wanting to participate right? Since this group is still public...?? idk. but yeah sounds good but if the having one group for it all doesn't work what do we do?

I'm going to make topics where people say they want to help create the book and another where they agree to have their characters used. PM it'll have to be. Unless should we make the group private/restricted or something?

I'd also suggest sending a message to all group members about all this including the poll. Otherwise they might just stay unaware...

Also, for those who'd allow the use of their characters but don't necessarily want to assist in the writing process, they'd be given like some sort of shout out saying that it's originallt their character etc... or.... like.. Idk, something like that... I was just curious.

Well, Game of Thrones + Sin City, would be great but you could add the theme of Reign too.


Since its in the dystopian theme, you can add the side effects of plagues and disease due to the lack of hygiene and care; the violence between the resistance and the council; the disapproval of neutrals, and you can add some sort of Romeo-and-Juliet themes in the book by adding that relationships between council x resistance is usually disapproved of, but there are still some people. Like in Reign, where the Protestants and Catholics were always disapproved of, especially any sort of contact between them.

I have only seen a couple random eps of Reign, so I could not use it as a reference. What common themes does it have?

And the effects of huge social gaps since a lot of those problems are not really present in the HotC.

Reign sort of dates back to the historical times, but during those times when violence was at its edge; there was rebellion (the protestants) and the main politics was about trying to defeat the rebellion. There was conflict between the rulers since many powerful people were converting. Because of the constant cruelty, a lot of major incidents took place as the side-effects of the politics. The Black Death, lack of hygiene and care resulted in more slums, orphaned children, and sick people; negligence increased a lot of things etc etc. Very soon, there was no safety; there was public abuse and execution etc
