Zoraida had previously been at the hosiptal working a shift, though a few hours had passed since she clocked out for the day. She was glad to been given a break though she knew she could be called in at any time for emergencies, something that kept her on her toes. For the time between the end of her shift and now was spent doing pretty much the same thing. She'd wandered around the outskirts, going to places, to people who needed her care. She didn't have enough time to organize to pass out food, she'd have to figure out a different day to do that. So, she spent those few hours going around, visiting houses and people who couldn't afford the proper healthcare needed to survive whatever condition they were given. Seeing people in such conditions, reminding her so much of Jeon killed her on the inside, it made her distaste for the Council grow even stronger. She'd stopped at the Coffee Break, for literally a coffee break, though it was more like a hot chocolate break since she didn't like the taste of coffee. She was hoping to have some time tonight to have some time to hang out with her close and dear friends. Zor hummed softly to herself as she muddled through her thoughts and sipped causally on her hot chocolate while sketching roughly on a pad laid down on the table before her.
Micah felt a little on edge ever since he'd left the hospital. They'd done his usual check-up, but his standard doctor hadn't been there and he still didn't know how to feel about that. Especially due to the fact he hadn't got a refill on his prescription of meds. He needed them- badly. Not to say he couldn't live without them, after all he had for the last few days and while there was no paralyzing pain in what little remained of his left leg he still couldn't help but think about it. 'Cause there was pain, there had to be. His limb was missing for godsake! And then when he'd been refused his refill they wouldn't even call in for his doctor after they'd begged him to. So now here he was hoping to let off some steam by talking a walk down in the outskirts. The sky was cloudy and he couldn't help but to picture how much worse his day would be with a little bit of rain. Maybe he'd slip and fall on his prosthetic and just give up his will to live. Eventually he came to stop outside of The Coffee Break, breathing heavily as he awkwardly settled himself down into the chair. Moments passed in silence as he squeezed his eyes closed. Maybe he should've just gone back home and dealt with his problems in some other way, or he should've at least brought his cane, something he hadn't even bothered to use for some weeks now. Looking over to his sides his eyes widened slightly as they settled on the figure next to him. "Doctor Zoraida!" He said, just as he thought of her name in her head. All at once he got to his feet, not even bothering with gaining his balance as he made his way over towards the empty seat beside her. A grin plastered itself across Micah's face as he sat beside her. "Why weren't you at the hospital today?" He asked, getting to the point, but still avoiding the point all together.
Zor was engrossed in her thoughts, mainly because she had to filter through everything she saw, heard and said today. There was a lot since she had an eidetic memory, something she was thankful of but viewed as a curse as well. So when Micah had called her she didn't react, she was used to hearing Dr. Lura or the use of her nickname not her full name. She only snapped to focus, nearly choking on her hot chocolate as well, when he sat down next to her. Zor turned her gaze to him, the movement of the pen on her pad stopped. She lowered her drink onto the table and then plastered a kind smile on her lips once recognizing him. "Micah, it's good to see you," she said softly and adjusted her beanie before she lifted an eyebrow. "I had an early shift today, so I was there," she said. "Did you have an appointmentm? I'm sorry I missed it." She then resumed her hand movement of stretching on the pad, a small drawing of a dragon. It wasn't exactly detailed yet, just the general form of one. Zor had read quite a lot on the myth of dragons, finding the creatures fascinating.
Zor was also curious to know why Micah was here and even more curious to know why he looked almost excited to see her. She did have an assumption but she truly hoped it was not the reason.

When he wasn't acknowledged right away Micah felt a bit awkward and he drummed his fingers ever so slightly against the armrests. Seeing her almost choke on her coffee he straightened in his seat, raising an eyebrow in concern. Once he was sure she was okay he relaxed once more, trying to make the on edge feelings go away. He'd talk to her, she'd see reason, they'd go back to the hospital, he'd get his meds and all would be cleared up. Yet when she said his name he felt a tad bit unwelcome. She probably didn't want to see him on her hours off. "Sorry if I'm bothering you." He began. For a moment he saw a flicker of concern in her gaze but he pushed it away. "See, the thing is, I did go in for my appointment today. Everything's good and all that, but I'm still in a lot of pain." He said, biting his lower lip as he fiddled with the edge of his shirt for a moment. It felt strange to tell half-truths, especially when he wasn't lying to just himself. "But the nurses wouldn't listen to me. They wouldn't give me my meds. I need my meds." Micah told her, barely keeping his voice from breaking as he made eye contact with her.
Zor was internally, truly thankful she was during her neutral phases of her bipolar disorder, it meant that her rationality wasn't being influenced by her emotional state, it made everything seem much more easier. Unfortunately, she knew that random spikes of extreme emotion was still probable to occur if something triggered it. It always had her a little on the edge because of it, made her question her ability to do her work but her determination to belp people tended to overcome that logic. It was people like Micah and Jeon that made her want to help people.
So Zor chuckled softly and shook her head, "no it's fine, I just wasn't expecting to encounter you here," she said truthfully. Zor fell silent as he spoke, her gaze concentrated on him as she took a sip of her drink. Her gaze didn't miss the fiddling of his shirt which immediately brought up theories behind the subconscious reason for such an act. Was her nervous, uneasy about meeting her outside of a hospital environment or could he be hiding, even lying? She stayed silent for a bit after he finished speaking, she could hear the desperation clear in his tone and meet his gaze with her own wise and intense one. She put down her drink and leaned back on the chair she sat on. "I see, what was the nurses' reason for not giving you the medication?" She inquired in the usual calm and patient tone she generally used with those she worked with, on normal days of course.

Eventually his hands settled in his lap. Her tone sort of dug at him. All he needed right now was a prescription, not a therapist. He'd had enough of those after the Council. "Oh nothing." He said, practically waving off her question before realizing it would maybe be the wiser choice to just answer her. "She just said she couldn't sign the refill until you were back. Just all legal matters." The irony of the situation didn't fail to make him laugh. What the Council had done to him and that poor little nurse was worried about being part of a crime just by giving him some pain killers. "And then she said you wouldn't be in for the rest of the day, which was... sad. I just need a little bit of meds to take off some of the pain. This prosthetic isn't the most comfortable thing, you know?" He said, thinking maybe the sympathy card would work. It had before, even on those silly nurses at the hospital.
Zor knew her tone usually did irritate some people, depending on their mental ordeal, but she used it even with her co-workers and it was all simply because she wasn't close to them. When she had her high or low periods the tone was nonexistent and it made working complicated. But generally, Zor was calm and patient so her persona took after that, she didn't often raise her voice unless she was in a mood. She did however raise her brow when he tried to wave off her question, sparking immediate suspicion. Her eyebrow lowered when he actually gave her an answer and she hummed, "the doctor examing you couldn't have done it?" She wondered, since they were usually the ones completing appointments especially something like his situation. She shrugged, judging by his choice of words, posture and tone he was attempting to get her to become sympathetic to his situation. She had to wonder how he would handle things if their roles were switched. She grit her teeth together, flashes of memories invading her thoughts, memories that she couldn't rid no matter how hard she tried. Zor quickly shut that down and leaned forward, flipping the page of the pad she'd been drawing on and pressed the pen to the paper. "Can you describe the pain, using the five Ws if you please, so basically tell me everything is going with the prosthetic," she requested and looked at him with a kind smile, "for documenting reasons, I'm sure you're used to my needing to be thorough by now," she said with a soft chuckle. She was highly suspicious but the circumstance was fragile, she had an inkling that this pain he felt was much more mental than physcial. It wouldn't be a shock if it was, handling such a tramatic change was hard. The mind was a fascinating thing but it could only take so much.
