If you have any experience with it, good or bad or any tips
I would really appreciate if you share it with me
Thank you!

Miriam Davison | 12 comments I am in the KDP and think it is very restricting, the countdown deal did nothing for me but the free promotion sold me 60 books in one week.
I can't wait until my KDP ends as I have never had a book borrowed, therefore I have never benefited.

Ju Ephraime (juephraime) | 186 comments That was my experience, Miriam and that was a couple years ago when it first started. I don't do the free downloads either.

Miriam Davison | 12 comments I will not make the same mistake again

Miriam Davison | 12 comments You can do either but only for 5 days in the Kdp enrolled period.

J.S. Luxor (jsluxor) | 30 comments Yes, I tried the countdown with one of my books and it didn't do much of anything for me. I would avoid it. Free days can help if you have a series, otherwise there's not much of a bounce. Best, JS

Steven West (thestevenwest) I've been helping a lot of authors with their book marketing, and looking across the board for metrics it's clear to me that the giveaway option is the way to go. Huge numbers of free promotional sites exist for free giveaway stories, but the moment it even costs a penny the options retract dramatically.

If you want some links for promoting free books, I usually have some luck with these:

If you want some help with promotion and plans, hire yours truly! Quick, efficient and not too pricey.

In either case, best of luck with your book sales!
