Ive been wanting to read this for a while so i àm starting tonight....

I enjoyed the use of present tense in this book. Makes for a lively style.

I liked the interesting plot. Not the usual, that's for sure.

The main character Cayce is not very girl. But, the author is a guy. I have yet to come across a guy who can write convincing and engaging girl main characters. (If someone has an example, let me know.)

I thoroughly enjoyed her aversions. I can relate. Egg shells in eggs do it for me. And, the Michelin man and Mickey Mouse. That's wonderful!

Actually, I was impressed with how the author starts a romance for Cayce. (view spoiler)[ Then, he messes it up. He has Boone Chu on his own protect and rescue Cayce. Now, that kind of guy is not going to suddenly become a user and exploiter. Then, he has her hook up with Parkerboy without any preliminary attraction. Just blap! Now, they're together. And, uh, (view spoiler)[ If a few stressful days in Russia gets rid of aversions, well, the psychological community will be much impressed. Whole new treatment programs. Will it include airfare? Hotel? How does one book this? (hide spoiler)]

I read this a few years ago - my first Gibson - and really enjoyed it. I will be in the same location as my copy of the book next week and will pipe in more then!
