Dan (TheGreatBeast) | 213 comments I've been considering picking up some of the re-issues of the Savage Sword of Conan series. It's been a while since I'd read any much for graphic novels. But on the note of Neal Adams, I'm a huge fan of his art and work in comics, so much so that I was willing to shell out over $100 for a signed copy of one of his works while he was at the comic con, unfortunately he was also one of the biggest disappointments. Very rude and inconsiderate person. I'm no gushing fanboy, and there was no line, but I paid my money and stood there waiting for a long time while he ignored me and when he finally did sign my comic (after some prodding from his assistant) he barely even looked at me, and just went back to talking to someone another assistant and ignoring me. I'm sorry but his signature isn't worth that much, and to pay that much for a sig from anyone at least deserves a "hello" and a smile, not being brushed off and ignored.

I'd read this about Adams.

Rich | 58 comments Get those early volumes of SSoC now while they are still fairly easy to find second hand, as Dark Horse isn't reprinting them (although they are still available as ebooks). The later volumes are easy to get through Amazon as they are still in print, but the early years have a some of the better stories and art.

That said, I love the later volumes almost as much, as they were the years I was buying the magazine off the newsstand in the late 80s-mid 90s when it was cancelled. Wish I still had those issues.
