I just read Oskar and the Eight Blessings. Such a beautiful book & perfect to read in December! The story is beautiful and touching and the illustrations are a great mix of graphic novel-style panels and traditional full page drawings. I haven't read nearly enough picture books this year, but I loved this one!

I just read that too! It's beautiful! I'm completely obsessed with that time period and there's been so many amazing books written & illustrated recently about it! Love love love!

I just put a hold on this books since it seems to be getting good reviews.
