I am good either timeframe. I'll be starting Raw right around that time, so wouldn't mind the following week.

The prequel

But I am only 1 hour into the book:D
Ah, there you are Ezi. I should be there in a day or two. I'm finishing Raw. I have a 3 day weekend coming up so hope to get a little more reading time.

im slow due to work, so take your time

my thoughts exactly.

I have 3 brothers who are relatively good men, but watching them in post college relationships baffled me.
It never ceased to amaze me when my brothers would bring home girls they explicitly told they were "friends with benefits" which would result in tears 4-6 months later because the girl wanted to change the game.
Here are some issues:
1) he was sleeping with someone else
2) I thought you would eventually see how good we are together
3) what's wrong with me and why won't you commit?
4) I thought you cared about me. Yea, I know you said you didn't want a relationship but we were always together, and we talked on teh phone everyday and you untroduced me to your family
5) your body...and your actions showed you love me
that is why Kat's rationalization that Gabe's actions spoke louder than his words bugs me.
When my daughter starts dating, what I want her to know is:
1) when a guy says he doesn't want a relationship--BELIEVE him until he expressly says otherwise.
2) most guys will NOT turn down available physical loving, and so don't mistake their acceptance of your body means they are giving you their heart. Body/Sex and Heart/Love as separate issues.
3) don't listen to your I-team reporter friends if they say "Girl, I can tell he loves you because he got jealous or he was staring at you."
My 4 year old son got upset when his friend played with his Ninja Turtle sword, but he didn't want to play ninja turtles. he just didn't want chad to play with it either. Jealousy doesn't always mean that a guy wants you as in a commitment.
4) if you want more that a hook up, be clear and really listen to him too. If he says he only wants a hook up, don't expect sex to magically change his mind.
5) Don't wait around like Sam, move on with some dignity and find a man who wants more or less what you want
Gabe is a nice guy, and so I don't want to make him out to be a villian, but I think the author did Kat a disservice here.

I mean imagine that Sam had to get his address from DMV and has never been invited there
I've gotten to the point where she came to his house. I see now. Yes it was miserable of him how he treated her. He did tell her how it was. However, no strings attached sex really is a myth. Someone is usually going to get hurt, get pregnant, have feelings change, something, think things are different than they are.
So, I'm up to the part where (view spoiler)

Interestingly enough, I'm liking this one more than the others I've read in the series. I'm still less than 1/2 way through, so that may change. I don't like the way Gabe has treated the other women in his life, don't understand yet about his fiance (I'm sure there's some big deal there), but I still like him so far. Kat is somewhat naive - ok maybe a lot naive considering. But I can see with her upbringing how that could be. The background the author gives around native american women and their struggle to mix their heritage and modern times.
And I really, really, really wouldn't mind giving her family a good swift kick where it counts.

Have you finished it? What did you think? I'm at about 90%. For the life of me I can't quite pin the 2nd person. A person that's outdoorsy enough to get to where they are? That doesn't strike me as the city guy. Hmmmm. (view spoiler) Just thought of that while typing.
A friend from another GR group said her favorites are the ones coming up. So looking forward to those. She also said one of the upcoming novellas was important to read in flow of things.

I finished it on Friday. I wrote my review to! I already bought book 5

I have #5 out of the library also on audio this time. I don't know why they didn't have the others on audio.

Glad it wasn't just me. This story didn't connect well like the others. The story didn't keep me entranced...but I look forward to book 5.
I bought the audio on audible so I'm good to go:D

Nope, not just you. I was calling Gabe all manner of bad names for the better bulk of the book. And here I thought Julian was a jerk, back in book two! Nope, Gabe's got him beat!
I grabbed the Kindle book for book 5 earlier this week, so I'm set to start as well!
Lol and I actually liked this one the best so far. I cruised throu it. Had a little more of the baby stuff than I needed but other than that I moved thru it quickly.

The day Navajo journalist Katherine James met Gabriel Rossiter, the earth literally moved beneath her feet. Nearly killed in a rockslide while hiking, she found her life in the tall park ranger's hands. Although she can't forget him she thinks she'll never see him again. She is crushed when she recognizes her rescuer among the law enforcement officers raiding a sweat lodge ceremony one night, throwing her and her friends off Mesa Butte, land they consider sacred.
Gabe long ago swore he would never again lose himself to a woman not even one with long dark hair and big eyes that seem to see right through him. But from the moment he first sees Kat, the attraction he feels is undeniable. Appalled by what he has been ordered to do, he's determined to get to the bottom of recent events at Mesa Butte and to keep Kat safe.
But asking questions can be dangerous almost as dangerous as risking one's heart. And soon Kat and Gabe's passion for the truth and each other makes them targets for those who would do anything, even kill, to keep Native Americans off their sacred land.
