I am looking for books where for one reason or another earth was abandons. Years later for whatever reason someone comes back/ is sent back.... And finds ... Surprise :)

I am not sure why but this storyline is stuck in my head and I can't get it out. I have tried to track down a book on my own but I am not having much luck.

If you have any ideas please share.

I cannot think of anything with that exact plot, but have you read The City of Ember?

I have not red the city of ember, I will have to check into that one thank you.

I did end up reading the city of ember and enjoyed thanks for the recommendation�.. any others?

The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron has a plot along those lines and it is REALLY good too!!

That is so funny!! There are other books in that City of Ember series that you could try :) My husband said The Book of Eli is good, but he does not remember it being clean.

Oh, this is not about abandoned earth, but the Out of the Silent Planet trilogy by C.S. Lewis may be of interest to you.

Thanks I’ll look into all of them. I’m happy to have some new suggestions to investigate.
