What exactly are you having trouble figuring out?

This book is a simple enough story about a young girl with a slightly abusive mother who, by some unfortunate cicumstances, ends up living with her older sister and her sister's husband who she hasn't come into contact with for many years. Young girl meets young boy who refuses to let her just block him and shut him out, boy has secrets. Stuff comes to light about girl's past including her sister, girl finds out the true meaning of family etc. and it ends. Perhaps a simple story line but executed and handled in the touching, personal and brilliant way that Sarah Dessen always seems to pull off and packed with lovely, unique details that make it a really good book.

I honestly don't think there's much of a plot. I didn't enjoy it very much
