1: Did you and your parents/guardians read bedtime stories at night?
My family is huge on readers, particularly my mom and grandma so I'm a huge believer that you can raise a person to be a reader. I don't remember being read to but I'm sure it happened :p
2: What age did you really start to enjoy reading?
I've enjoyed it as long as I can remember and can roughly remember the progression: Little Golden Books --> Dr. Seuss --> Nancy Drew --> Goosebumps --> Dean Koontz/Stephen King (probably younger than normal ha)
3: What is the first children's book you remember reading?
All the Little Golden Books. I had a ton of them on my book shelf.
4: What is the first romance book you remember reading?
I know I read White Oleander way too young. I remember my French teacher being horrified when I brought it to class one day.
5: What is the first non-fiction book you remember reading?
I couldn't tell you. I really struggle with nonfiction and I also hate being forced to read books. So even as an avid reader, I resorted to Cliff notes a lot in school. Being forced to read a book is enough for me to not read it. I think school books would have been my first nonfiction... would I have actually *ahem* read them..
EDIT: Zaz reminded me! I think it would have been Wildlife Fact-File. Good times :)
6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read?
This year was actually my first graphic novel: Locke & Key, Vol. 1: Welcome to Lovecraft

Yu Yu Hakusho, Volume 1: Goodbye, Material World! when it was serialized in shonen jump, I bought them every month, just so I could read like three chapters of Yu Yu Hakusho and whatever else was in in it that month.

No. The rest of my family don't read. I just started reading to myself when I learned how to.
2: What age did you really start to enjoy reading?
I've always liked reading, as far as I can remember. I remember when I was about 5 and asking for books.

Roald Dahl books

6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read?
Archie comics
1: Did you and your parents/guardians read bedtime stories at night?
My mom did sometimes, yes, but mostly I remember my grandpa reading to me.
2: What age did you really start to enjoy reading?
I remember being an avid reader for as long as I can recall. My grandpa had this big blue armchair and I used to crawl into his lap every evening and he'd read to me. Then I learned to read them myself and I would read whatever I could whenever I could.
3: What is the first children's book you remember reading?
Ooh, I don't know. Probably something like Goodnight Moon or The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I liked the Bernstein Bears series when I was real young and everything Dr. Seuss. I always loved getting Noel Streatfeild's books. The first books I really recall being fanatic about as a reader were Roald Dahl's books. I devoured all his children's books.
4: What is the first romance book you remember reading?
Wow, my memory is not what it used to be. I can say that this has never been my favorite genre. I wouldn't call it a romance but it had romance elements so I will say Little Women.
5: What is the first non-fiction book you remember reading?
Funnily enough, some of the first books I recall reading with my grandpa were these little science books for kids that answered questions like where clouds come from and why the sky is blue.
6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read?
I read the Death Note books when my ex-boyfriend was really into them.
My mom did sometimes, yes, but mostly I remember my grandpa reading to me.

6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read?
I read the Death Note books when my ex-boyfriend was really into them.

I actually don't remember that. I remember myself reading under the covers when i was supposed to sleep though and my mom just patiently reminding me to go to sleep. I guess she was glad i was reading that much.
2: What age did you really start to enjoy reading?
7 or 8 i guess ? and all through primary school. My mom was a teacher and had so many books for class.
3: What is the first children's book you remember reading?
Owl at home by Arnold Lobel
It's the one that frightened me the most so i still remember it and got to keep the book once my mom retired from teaching.
4: What is the first romance book you remember reading?
That would be Jane Eyre, i read that book many times.
5: What is the first non-fiction book you remember reading?
I always read fiction book so i guess except for books during studies i never really read non fiction. I started to expand the genres i was reading when i started a book club on twitter.
It should be The immortal life of Henrietta Lacks
6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read?
I started with french/belgian comics like Asterix, The smurfs and Yoko Tsuno when i was a kid. I read some X-Men when i was in holidays at my grandma's and my cousins left the comics there. Then i was into japanese comics with Kenshin and Blame when i was in highschool. I discovered Watchmen at my brother's when i was adult.

2: What age did you really start to enjoy reading? I have always been a big reader so my guess would be as soon as I learned to read.
3: What is the first children's book you remember reading? We had a ton of Sesame Street books and I remember reading Busy, Busy Town by Richard Scarry
4: What is the first romance book you remember reading? This one is hard for me as I grew up reading romance books. I would say that it was probably Love Only Once by Johanna Lindsey
5: What is the first non-fiction book you remember reading? I am sure it would have been something in school but I really don't remember. So I am going to go with The Step Child: A True Story of a Broken Childhood by Donna Ford. I read this one probably 7-8 years ago.
6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read? Oh this one is easy. I have been reading Archie Comics since I was a kid.

Yes, most nights either my Mum or my Dad would read me a bedtime story.
2: What age did you really start to enjoy reading?
I've always loved reading, ever since I could read. I'm not sure what age I actually learnt to read properly but my guess would be at about 6 or 7 years old?
3: What is the first children's book you remember reading?
A Necklace of Raindrops and Other Stories or The Jolly Postman, or Other People's Letters
4: What is the first romance book you remember reading?
I have no idea. Was never really one for romance. I read Little Women when I was about 10 though so that was probably the first one. Unless Harry Potter counts (Romione for life).
5: What is the first non-fiction book you remember reading?
Egyptology I'm not sure if that one fully counts as it's a fictional story but it still contains real facts about Ancient Egypt and it's very educational. If it doesn't count then it was probably one of the Horrible Histories books. I always loved history and Ancient Egypt was my favourite one to learn about. I was obsessed. Still kind of am.
6: What is the first comic/graphic novel you read?
When I was younger I bought the Beano every week. I still have about 4 or 5 annuals sitting at home that have a collection of stories of all the characters in them. They're the only comics that I've ever really read. I'd love to properly get into comic books but I wouldn't have a clue where to jump in with them. I absolutely love graphic novels though.
