I think the read-a-thon went pretty great! If I do say so myself ;)

But for real, though. Please give us feedback! It's great to here everyone's thoughts before we try to plan a new event.

I personally liked the week long format. As a grad student, something is always going on so it seems like I always am too busy during the 24-hour events. I really liked being able to read when it fit, even if I didn't get as much reading done as I would have liked.

Please visit the activities if you haven't already! Especially the recommendation train. That's something we could keep going all year :)

I agree with Laura, I want the recommendation train to be yearlong, too.

--I'm kind of mixed here because it seems like there were more replies to the games and stuff when it was just 24 hours. It seemed more special if the time limit was shorter.

Did you enjoy the challenges?
--Yeah..but I didn't actually read a whole lot since this whole week was really busy for me.

Are there any areas you'd like to see improved?
--None that I can think of right now.

Definitely ! Having more days to read is great and i could actually read several books.

There were nice ideas out there. I chose to participate in the ones that i liked the most and could do.

It's nice as it is for now i don't have any more ideas.

I enjoyed being able just to share what i had read each day that was nice. I didn't keep a pages count though so i just said which book i was reading. It helped me keep motivated and focused. I really liked to be trying to read more with other people.
Thank you for that and i really hope you'll do this again next year.

Absolutely! I'm a slow reader, so it allowed me to make more of a dent in my reading! And it was fun to have the different games each day/time to participate in them throughout the whole week.

Most of them! I didn't participate in some though :/

I don't think so, this was my first read-a-thon and I loved it!

I really like the idea of the recommendation chain, and I hope that we can do the week-long read-a-thon again!

Yep, it was nice, I'd more time to do other things during the weekend and it was nice to actually finish some books.

Most of them. I lacked inspiration for the ones I didn't participate.

Are there any areas you'd like to see improved?
No, it was nice like this. Maybe for another we could add a little something to read together. It could be nice to do a read-a-thon next year with one of the BOTM.

I loved the readathon week long format. I think I read more in this period thank I ever have in a week period, so thank you for that :)

I completely forgot to do the challenges but I think I'll have a look and complete them anyway.

Yes! I can't do 24 hours, too much in my life, last time it happened I recall had zero time to read. Plus I get tired easily and can't stay up late. This way was not so much pressure but more fun.

Yes, They were really thoughtful and fun and well conceived and moderated. You guys did a great job, hats off! Also, it was real fun to read the responses.

Are there any areas you'd like to see improved?
Maybe there were a bit too many challenges, I could not get to all of them. I think one per day woukd be enough.

It was awesome, mods did an amazing job! I enjoyed it a lot, albeit I think I probably read about the same as I would have otherwise, it was fun to do it together.

Yes. I have some days that I can spend a lot of time reading and some days where I have almost no time for reading. Having a week long format allowed flexibility in my schedule.

Did you enjoy the challenges?
Yes they were so much fun and helped me think about the books I've read so far. It was fun to read other people's responses too.

Are there any areas you'd like to see improved?
I think everything went well.

I loved it. It's the first read-a-thon I've actually been able to participate in. I'm rarely able to read for an entire day, due to other things happening or that I have to do, but with the week long one I was able to just read whenever I could. So the week long one felt more inclusive.

Did you enjoy the challenges?
I loved them! There were a few I didn't do as I couldn't think of anything for them, the cover ones mainly, but all the challenges and games were really great ideas and I loved the ones I did do.

Are there any areas you'd like to see improved?
I can't think of anything.

I loved the week-long format - I couldn't participate in either of the others, so this was my first. I think with a week, most people who want to participate can, even in a small way. The challenges were fun!
