Have you ever been reading a book and thought, "I wish I could talk to someone else who's reading it right now!"?? Well, here's your chance!

Welcome to the 2016 Buddy Reads page. What are buddy reads, you might ask? It's where you and a buddy (or buddies!) read the same book and discuss it as you go. You can decide among yourselves how you want to read/discuss the book (stop at a third of the way through and discuss, discuss as you go using (view spoiler)[spoiler (hide spoiler)] for your comments, or by chapters). It's a great way to make reading even more fun!

Here is the 2016 Buddy Read discussion page. Leave a post with the genres you like to read or which books you have that you want to read soon, and then those who want to read the same book(s) or who enjoy the same genres can ask to buddy read with you.

Once you know who you are buddy reading with, please leave a comment on the sign-up thread with the book title/author, who's going to buddy read said book, and the month in which you plan on reading it (not set in stone, but it's helpful to have a time frame in mind for the BR). ;)

Note:
Threads from the previous month(s) will remain in this folder until people are through reading their book(s). Once it is obvious that a discussion thread is finished, it will be moved to the archives.

I know you've read a lot of MaryLu Tyndall's books, but have you read Forsaken Dreams yet? I have that one on my TBR :D

I have not started that series yet. What is TBR?

I have the first and second book, so if want to do both, that's fine. :) I can read them whenever you want.

TBR--it's funny, I woke up this morning and thought, "wow, I'm really spent after being at work!" I figured it out around 4:30 this morning...lol!! Thanks for clarification! :D

Tomorrow sounds good! I'm finishing up a book today, but then I'll be free to read it. Excited as I've enjoyed all the MaryLu Tyndall books I've read.

Nope. Three were from authors as part of their influencer list, one was a prize, and the other four were my normal review books. They just all arrived on the same day.

Bess, the main publishers I review for are Bethany House, Revell, Tyndale, Waterbrook/Multnomah, Thomas Nelson/Zondervan. I got into it about 6 years ago when one of my friends mentioned it as a way to get books for free. If you want, message me, and I'll send you the links.

Just curious if anyone is interested in buddy reading ? I am slowly making my through it and thought if someone else was interested in reading it too, it might help motivate me to keep going! LOL! :D
