I need feminism because I don''t want any future son I may have to go through what I went through at school

Also, I want any child of mine to be able to live freely in their gender identity without being pressurised into being something they aren't

I need feminism because I feel like there is a lot of man hate in this world as well as inequality with women. I want to fight to both gender gaining equality in all aspects of life!

I need feminism because I see my nieces and nephews (8 years to 6 months) and want them to grow up in a world where there aren't certain expectations or stigmas they have to fight growing up. Because my 5 year old nephew saying that I can't like Star Wars because it's for boys terrifies me about what kind of world we are leaving for them.

That's a good point� we shouldn't try to make children who they aren't and society shouldn't make them feel like they have to be certain way. Love it !

Hey, great point. We all need feminism because the next generations coming and also for us. I dont want to be juged by anybody because of my gender or my outward epirience, I want them to like me because of my character and my abilities.
And as a second point I think all of these kind of thoughts we make about inequality makes as better humans because when we talk we recognise suche mean or incorrect sentences and also can help our friends to be more poliet and equitable.

I need feminism because I want to jog at night and I don't need to be worried if I find some guy on the street.

I need feminism because I have always worked in male dominated businesses and as an unmarried and independent woman I am always fighting against a perceptible anger towards my presence in these environments. Im exhausted trying to defend myself against the almost tyrannical system (made up of both men and women) that constantly says, "men are better than women." Enough is enough!

I need feminism to raise awareness on things I witness daily which are not okay but which people don't understand. I hear so many sexist jokes or remarques every day without people even realizing that what they are saying is offensive to women... And to men too. We are all enclosed in very strict expectations due to a crafted gender type, and talking about it and help people - male, female or other - to become conscious of that is very important to me. Equality shouldn't have to be a fight, everybody should be free to be who they want to be with no dicrimination because of it. And sexism is only part of the problem, we have a lot of work to do on equality for EVERYONE in this world.

I need feminism because women have been pushed to level beneath men for too long, and I want to fight that. Woman can be just as strong as men are, in spite of the stereotypes that continue to exist. Just because we are physically smaller then men doesn't mean we are mentally smaller.

I need feminism because I want people to respect me as who I am (which doesn't fit into the typical definition of a "normal girl"). I need feminism for my friends who can't even cry anymore because they've been suppressing it for so long for fear of being seen as "weak" or "not manly enough." I need feminism because I open doors for people trying to be nice and sometimes they look at me strangely. I need feminism because it is so important for everyone to be treated fairly and equally.

I need feminism because as a writer I still find it difficult to tell my hero's journey without classing her as a girl/a female and thinking that that makes her journey any different from that of their male counterparts. To leave behind ideas of gender roles, stereotypes and generalisations.

For my female friends to know they're fine not being the unattainable 'perfect' that we always see everywhere.

As a child, every time I opened my mouth, I was told to be quiet. So it feels even today. But it did not stop me from writing. Writing has saved my life.

I need feminism because even while discussing issues regarding feminism there are those out there that have decided that my asking for equality is a subject "Not worth a damn".

I need feminism because I have to explain why I want the same privileges men have but they openly admit they have the privilege and DON'T need to explain why they get it.

I need feminism because even here, people are dismissive of others opinions and belittle or dismiss them as not important.

I need feminism because even here, there are people that will belittle you and then when called out for it claim it's 'just a joke'.
