I own this book too but I haven't read it either! So excited!

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Oh we can try to read this at the same time. lol, I know it'll be last minute for me. I am horrible sometimes at getting distracted like I did last month.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm usually pretty good about it if I'm not stressing. We should totally try to read it together!

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Yes we should.

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Yay!!! So excited about this!!!

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
So am I. I think Leela and I are going to read it during the read-a-thon together.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes! That will be a great time to start it!

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod

We understand!!! I'm trying to do the same thing!!!!

Meera I already own this book but I'm also going to wait till the read-a-thon to pick it up.

Adele | 19 comments I own this book as well, and I'm so excited to finally read it! I don't know when I'll get around to reading it this month, but I'll probably read it in one sitting, haha.

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Started the audiobook of this today. At first I wasn't sure about the narrator but she's growing on me. I'm on disc 2 and so far not much has happened but it seems like its going to be good. Cia has just left to go to the testing.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I am excited to start this book during the read-a-thon next weekend. It seems like a short book and one that I should finish in no time.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah I should be able to finish it quick too. So excited!

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Yeah, so right now I am reading Cold Spell by Jackson Pearce. I like it so far. It's a re-telling of the Snow Queen. I've been really big into fairy tell re-tellings recently. I really want to get my hands on fathomless and sisters red by Jackson Pearce but I have not been able to find them. *sad face*

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
I looove fairytale retellings!!!

I have gotten into them again. The books Jackson Pearce has done are the ones I know I definitely want to get my hands on. Cold Spell (Fairytale Retellings, #4) by Jackson Pearce is a Snow Queen Retelling, Sweetly (Fairytale Retellings, #2) by Jackson Pearce is a Hansel and Gretel Retelling, Fathomless (Fairytale Retellings, #3) by Jackson Pearce is a Little Mermaid Retelling, and Sisters Red (Fairytale Retellings, #1) by Jackson Pearce is a retelling of Rose Red and Snow White. The last two are the ones I still need to get my hands on that I haven't been able to find. I also recently got A Wicked Thing (A Wicked Thing, #1) by Rhiannon Thomas that is supposed to be a retelling of Sleeping Beauty. I want to find some retellings of Beauty and the Beast since well I love that story.

³Õ²¹±ôé (eggy18) | 59 comments I marked Asleep on my TBR list. Apparently it's a re-telling of 'Sleeping Beauty'. Alice is the aftermath of 'Alice in Wonderland', except more dark and thrilling. I really recommend the latter; I loved reading it a lot.

Thank you. I will be looking into these. Please recommend any and all fairy tale retellings. lol

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
I'm dying to read Alice. I have to check out all the others you guys have recommended.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I've been going back and forth on Beastly especially since I watched the movie.

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Btw I'm about a third of the way into The Testing and it's getting really good!

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

I love retellings... I'm tempted to buy all of Alex Finn's collections.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I have seen them I just have not gotten any of them. I really love Cold Spell it's part of a series I think but it seems like you can read them separately. If that is not the case I don't think I'm really going to care because two of them are kind of hard to find right now.

³Õ²¹±ôé (eggy18) | 59 comments Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles, starting off with Cinder, is a series of re-telling of fairytales? Except quite dystopian and sci-fi... I tried the first one but couldn't quite get into it. Nevertheless, many others really recommend this series!

I have read those. I need to get to Winter. I begged my husband for it for Christmas and still have not read it. That was the case with a lot of my books. I should go did those books out and start reading those.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I am so excited to read this, this weekend during the read a thon

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
I finished and it was awesome!

Jacquelyn Simon (jacquelynrose94) | 122 comments I just finished it, it's very good. If you enjoyed Divergent then you will like this book.

message 33: by TessaMarie (new) - added it

TessaMarie Beard Just started, and was up to 1 am reading yesterday. Can't wait to continue

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I started it today! I am about a hundred pages in. Leela have you started yet? How far are you if you have? What do you think so far? It seems to have a bit of a feel with the Giver at the beginning. I am not complaining about that but it's what it kind of feels like to me without everything being pretty much black and white. If that makes sense.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

I just woke up so I haven't started! But I'll be starting it right now!

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Let me know what you think. I love it so far. Going to Read more when I get home from picking the oldest up from school.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh I love it so far too! I'm at page 50 now. I can't read more til after work tho.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
yay!

message 39: by TessaMarie (new) - added it

TessaMarie Beard Three Quarters of the way through, and I have till 10 am tomorow to finish

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
What do you think of it TessaMarie?

message 41: by TessaMarie (new) - added it

TessaMarie Beard Fantastic

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I think the same thing. I'm about to read more.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

I just finished the book, Andrea. I liked the book a lot. I just didn't felt a lot of deja vu moments happening and a lot of predictably. I compared it to the Hunger Games and The Culling in my book blog. I still really liked the book though. I think that was my only complaint. Lol.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Might I just add, and I just noticed this, that I finished this book literally minutes before it became the 22nd. XD Meaning, I completed my Read-A-Thon goal! <3

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
yay

message 46: by TessaMarie (new) - added it

TessaMarie Beard I will sadly not be finishing this book at least now, because my Scribd free Trial ran out before I could finish. :( If anyone nows where I could find it onling please let me know

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Oh no that sucks!!! Maybe if you sign up with a different email address you can do another trial? Idk. Do libraries over there let you borrow digital books?

message 48: by TessaMarie (new) - added it

TessaMarie Beard I don't know, and I cant sign up for another Trial, it was a Special code that has now expired.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Aw , Tessa! Check the libraries there no??

message 50: by TessaMarie (new) - added it
