I'm still reading it. Its a HUGE endeavor. I just began last month. I'll take another month to finish it as i'm reading other books as well

It gives you a personal perspective of WW2 through the eyes of a few friends and family. It is very beautifully written and creates its own world of its characters involvement in the war. It walks on the line between fiction and non-fiction. But you tend to struggle when the narrative shifts from a personal to a broader perspective with all the war details pouring in. But its definitely a good read.
