Dr Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ | 19 comments hey everyone! this is a rather desperate attempt on moving on! I read CL Wilson fading land series last year, and LOVED them.
after them I read many series along that line, but than I reread them, and now I can't seem to WANT to read anything but them or anything similar. please help me!

books I already have read
-IAD
-BDB
-war cry series
-Kate Daniel
-thea Harrison Dragon series
-fever by KMM
-fey chronicles
-Lord of underworld

I started reading Dragon actually but I am not hooked, and so I keep on going back to fading land series

actually whatever I start to read I end up reading fading land series !

is this normal? help needed! any suggestions? what shall I do?

I know that is a drawback but I love her style. I guess I'd rather have a good book than a quick book

Dr Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ | 19 comments thank you all for great response but yes I have read winter king! it was a great read :)))

yes, it's a bit slow, but I really like how author really builds everything up, you know the plot, the romance, the characters.....

PepperP0t maybe Zoe Archer's Blades of the Rose. But it is more adventure. Sometimes it reminded me of Indiana Jones but I can't think of anyone that writes as lyrically right now.

PepperP0t Just thought of someone else TJ Shaw's Caller of Light by T.J. Shaw reminded me a bit of C.L.Wilson while I was reading. Her other book is vamps, equally good but a different direction

MadameZelda I do like the Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill

Dr Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ | 19 comments pepperP0t: blades of the rose is in my TBR list. I will definitely check it, but caller of light seems very interesting. I will get on to it right away!! thank you for helping me move on! ;)

Dr Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ | 19 comments MadameZelda: I checked the series, they seem very promising. but is the h the dominant character in it?
I am not a fan of way too headstrong h, but gather those more like "gentle and compassionate with a spine of steel" and who actually develop/grow in the book.

The books you are listed above are stronger, and so you may not like Chicagoland Vampires. I just enjoy this series and most vampire couples. But I understand what you are looking for.

I hope you enjoy Caller of Light, I so wanted it to be a series, I sent a note to the author and asked. I also enjoyed Blade of the Rose series and think that's a really underrated series for lovers of fantasy and/or adventure.

O yes, it is a set back. i havent actually ever read on PNR, thats not a series, so it will be a new experience :D

Few of my friends have read Zoe Archers series and they have given some good reviews. I actually havent read Adventure Books much, so this again will be a goood new experience.

MadameZelda @DrÅ·±¦ÓéÀÖ -- Chloe Neill will be ending her Chicagoland Vampires series with Book 13. She wants Ethan/Merit to have an HEA.

yes, i am currently reading book 2. actually i completed it already ;]

✿ Natalie ✿ | 428 comments I really loved Lord of the Fading lands! A fantastic book which has a favourite literary scene of mine in it!

I'd recommend Sebastian by Anne Bishop as it has that same kind of whimsical, magical world feeling with a darker edge and a budding innocent romance between a mature hero and heroine who have had sadness in their lives but find a joy in each other that Fading Lands has. When I think of books with a similar feel to C L Wilsons then this book (which is Book 1 of the Ephemera series) comes to mind :-)

Me too!! I'm a big fan. I first read her Black Jewels trilogy, I was hooked from there :-)

✿ Natalie ✿ | 428 comments @Dr Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ I was reading this thread as my mum came into the room, she's not read CL Wilson but because of the IAD, Kate Daniels, Thea Harrison, Fever books on your list she said for me to recommend to you the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and the Charley Davison series by Darynda Jones!
I've not read those 2 myself so not sure if they have the feel of CL Wilson's Fading Lands or not, but mum says they definitely go in with those others mentioned on your list above :-)
