I like him and I agree, you definitely have to be in the mood for his slow, brooding, quiet horror. I've been reading his Oxrun Station series and I'd have to say that this one had the weakest plot out of all that I've read so far. It's too bad because I thought they were his strongest characters that I've read.

Loved Necroscope II. As good as the first one was, I liked this one better.

I've heard great things already about The Fireman. Loved his Heart Shaped Box, Horns, and NOS4A2.

I'm jealous you get to read Swan Song for the first time!

Someone mentioned this one as part of their top 5, with a comment of I dare you to read it. Some I had a look. It looks pretty good and it was cheap as chips so here I go!

My favorite book of all time!

The Terror - Dan Simmons
The Handmaids Tale - Margaret Atwood
Every now and then a story from Skeleton Crew by King (I managed to buy the smelliest book that exists on planet Earth from Amazon so it's slow going. The fumes are tough to handle lol)

I loved the explanation in Necroscope III of the origins of vampires. When you get done with III and you're ready to start IV, let me know. I'll read it with you.

Will do, although it may take me a little while. Lots of group and buddy reads going on!

I chose this just for it's cover and it was a good random choice. It's a slow burner but I recommend it highly!
