Melaslithos | 1645 comments June is here, summer is coming (and with it, the rainy season in my part of the globe - nicknamed the moldy season around here...).

What are your plans for this month? Any interesting reads?

For my part, I'd be curious to see if I'll be able to read as much as last month (I don't think so), but will still go with an ambitious plan.

So here it is for me:
Persepolis Boxed Set by Marjane Satrapi La Langue maternelle by Vassilis Alexakis Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne South China Morning Blues by Ray Hecht Season of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih

edit (15/06/2016): I borrowed a few books I need to give back as soon as possible, so I'm bumping them up in my reading list. Here they are:
Someone Like You by Roald Dahl The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro Dear Death by Sasenarine Persaud Quand les lumières s'éteignent by Erika Mann

Thanks for starting the topic, Melas.

Well, I am still waiting for buddies, I would love to do a readalong this month.

Other than that, not quite sure what to read, this current book is being a pain to finish.

Interested to know what you think of Journey, it's the only one of those I have read.

I'm late in most of my reading groups, I've been doing a lot of catching up lately. I think I will have more or less caught-up on everything by the end of June, so I hope I'll be ready for a buddy read after that! I noted down the books we mentionned in the buddy read thread, I'll warn you when I'll be ready to read those!

Anita (neet413) | 44 comments Currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman .

After that, I'm going back to the Iron Druid Chronicles with book 5, Trapped (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #5) by Kevin Hearne . Then I'm going to start the Dresden Files or maybe a Repairman Jack novel, leaning towards Cold City (Repairman Jack The Early Years, #1) by F. Paul Wilson .

My best friend warmly recommended the Dresden Files too. I haven't managed to get my hands on the first book yet. You'll have to tell me how it is!

Kandice A friedn just gave me the first of the Dresden Files because she thought it was a very sad hole in my TBR!

This month I've already read Prudence, The Fireman, Preacher, Volume 2: Until the End of the World and Cold Mountain. I'm about to finish The Husband's Secret and End of Watch, but what I am most excited to read this month is Alexander Hamilton Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow by Ron Chernow. I got the audio version on sale and with a coupon for only $20!

Melaslithos | 1645 comments Well, after a fantastic month of May, this month was much poorer reading wise. To think I haven't opened a book in the last two weeks!

Here is the wrap up for this month:
Binu and the Great Wall of China by Su Tong Persepolis Boxed Set by Marjane Satrapi La Langue maternelle by Vassilis Alexakis Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne

As you can see, that is only a small part of my goal this month. I'll report most of those to next month (because I still owe the books to people).
