Author: Jennifer E. Smith
Release date (if you know it): I'm not sure when this will be released. It is in production. It was supposed to be 2016, but we will see.
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: It's a quick, sweet read. Makes me want to be 17 and in love again. If you like YA, it's worth a read. Whenever the movie is released I will probably go see it with my niece.

Author: Jojo Moyes
Release date (if you know it): In theaters now
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: I definitely recommend the book but I doubt I'll go see it in the theaters. I cried way too much reading it that I'll just be a puddle of mush watching it. This will have to be a Netflix night.

Author: Jay Asher
Release date (if you know it): I hear that Selena Gomez and her mom are producing a TV Series about '13 reason why' this year.
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: Book is very interesting, definitely will watch it.

Author: by Paula Hawkins
Release date (if you know it): October 2016
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: I do recommend this book. It's a love or hate situation. I LOVED it. The twists and turns were fun and kept me riveted. I'll probably go see the movie, but I'm really not to happy with who they chose for Rachel.

Author: Ransom Riggs
Release date (if you know it): 9/30/16
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: YES and YES. I've been wanting to read this book for a long time and never got around to it. Then I heard the movie news, and that Tim Burton was directing and had to bump it up my TBR. The trailer looked amazing the first time I saw it, but after reading the book and knowing the story I'm a bit more skeptical based on the changes I can see from the trailer alone. I'll still see the movie though and I'm really hoping it lives up.

Author: Patrick Ness
Release date (if you know it): October 14
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: I definitely recommend the book. It was amazing! I would love to see the movie too but I don't think it will live up to the book.

Author: Ransom Riggs
Release date: 9/30/16
I definitely recommend this book! My son recommended it to me, and I loved it, even starting the next book in the trilogy, Hollow City, this week. I will see the movie when it comes out, but I hope it doesn't give me nightmares!

Author: Paula Hawkins
Release date (if you know it): October, I hear
Do you recommend? Are you going to the movie?: Sure. It wasn't the page-turner others have called it, but it was entertaining. I'll probably see the movie, but not in the theaters (Unless my wife insists!)

Title: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Author: Ransom Riggs
Release date: movie releases Sept. 30, this year
Recommend?- not for anyone above middle school age. I won't be reading the rest of the series. Just doesn't hold my interest.
Seeing the movie?- No. I can tell from the promos that it's going to be too different from the book. I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD.
