So I'm on EST (I'm in Massachusetts). I'll probably just do the roll first thing Friday mornings, unless of course we are still waiting for a review or two. I frequently go out on Friday nights so that might cause a problem if there's a late review pending.

I normally plan ahead for these games but I just don't have it in me this time. Hopefully I won't get caught looking for a book.

I have 3 weeks of classes left before my Summer break kicks in and after that it will be easier. But for the 1st three rolls I'll need something in audio to finish in time.

How it fits: #1 in series

This book was ok but definitely not great. I had more problems with it than things that I liked, and it took about 3/4s of the book for me to really get into it and even start caring what was happening.

I found the characters pretty annoying, particularly Shay. He basically believes Calla deserves better than Ren because he thinks Ren is too controlling...which is true. However, my issue with this is that Shay is just as controlling as Ren is! Talk about hypocritical! The other characters were just too young for me and there was a lot of focus on the teen club scene, which is not something I care about at this point in my life.

Then there was the fact that the werewolves shimmer when they shift...that's right, they shimmer. I thought we learned that sparkles/shimmers was not what we wanted from supernatural creatures after the twilight craze? Apparently this author missed the memo.

Overall, not a bad concept and there were some exciting moments, but for the reasons above I won't be in a big hurry to continue with this series.

I started my book today and should finish it by Tuesday at the latest.

I'm gonna switch my book to a 1st in a series, since I read one this weekend and didn't even think about it.

I was absolutely blown away by this one - no surprise, because I love Seanan for a reason. This was more than I ever thought it would ever be, though. It was the right touch of contemporary within the fantasy. The romance elements weren't overly romance-y - and it was the first time that I had ever read a book with an asexual character. The twist was excellently done - and the fact that there WAS a twist was highly surprising, since I'd made sure to stay away from any reviews of this until I read it.

I also want to hold ALL of the characters in my heart forever and always. And I CANNOT wait for her to continue with this in the series. WRITE FASTER, SEANAN.

I could have finished mine already but I spent the day in kayaking in the Berkshires yesterday. It was a 90 minutes each way but I didn't want to leave my IPOD in the hot car all day.

Since that Pokemon Go app came out my daughter has been walking the dog with me. But I'll finish by Thursday night for sure.

This is the first book in a mystery series about Joe Pickett, a game warden in Wyoming. He is investigating a case involving a dead man found in his backyard. I love the setting, but thought that the plot progressed too slowly, and Joe Pickett is quite a boring character that I didn't connect to. I will give this series another chance, but there are other series about game wardens/park rangers that I liked better.

So glad to hear you liked this one Maya! I have it on my TBR, I might have to make sure I get to it soon! Never read anything by Seanen McGuire before.

Most of what I've read by Seanan is written under Mira Grant. My love for this book is second only to my love for Feed.
