I'd probably do Book Thief or Graceling for this.

I will never do any major goodreads list because I only read MM romance.

If you feel like this will hold you back, I can step off before we get started on this leg. I would harbor no ill-will about it. I know my reading selection is extremely limited, not mainstream, and that I am wholly unwilling to be flexible about it.

In addition to detour 1, I wouldn't consider detour 8, because I am sure books I read never appear on any goodreads "top" shelves or lists.

Susan, even if we do this detour. You are a great addition to spell it out. We all have different strengths and all do not have to do every leg. The list is over 2000 books long. Did you look to see if any MM are on it? You could also read Cat in the Hat technically.

(I am not attempting to answer for others, but I figured I should as I was the one who wanted the detour).

You know, I kind of forgot that I didn't have to do the detour. So some of you can do the detour, and I just skip this one right? As long as I'm not holding the team back, I'm good with staying.

I didn't actually look through the list because they drive me crazy. I hate looking through really long lists.

Does this mean 5 detours over the course of the challenge as a whole or just a particular itinerary?

I believe it means the particular itinerary.

I was just coming to remind you that not everyone has to do the detours, but I see that Xelly beat me to it.

Well I am also out of this detour for the Same reason. Actually found a M/M sci fi book I love but have to wait for hold from library to arrive as I refuse to pay $7.99 for a kindle book.

Checking in with everyone, two people have done the detour so we need two more before we can move on and everyone can play again.

I have my book picked out and should get to it soon.

I have seen that some groups do something with baggage that allows a team to save books that are finished during a challenge but not used. How does this work?

My understanding is that we decided to abandon this a few rounds ago. It really wasn't needed. For me at least, it was pointless recording.

We did discuss and abandon it. For those that read many more than the challenge required, it just added work and we tend to finish without issue anyways.

I just read Misfits by Garrett Leigh started on the 5 and finished today for the "L"
Also Treasure for Treasure by R. Cooper, started April 3 and Finished on April 5 for the "C". Also Starting Fierce & Fabulous for the "F". all are on the sheet.

I added a few books. I hope you don't mind, but I added a list of our teammates to the spreadsheet, off to the side. I find it useful to see who hasn't claimed a letter yet. This prevents me from taking too many spots.

I Will be Taking the U as it is a harder letter to come by and my Next read Strays has a "U" for the Series title Urban Souls. Finished Fierce & Fabulous. Hoping to leave Letters for Brandy and Sam who I believe are the two who have claimed letters yet.

I finished The Princess Diarist today if we can use that somewhere. I am also reading Norse Mythology and The Last Akon if either of those for. I will be done with both by the end of Monday.

I marked my book completed - In the Wreckage

I finished my books on the sheet and filled them in. I am starting The Shadows. Main character is Trez. It's a big book so it may take me 5-7 days to finish but it's a T if we need to use it. I'm fine with using someone else's too.

I'll be starting my T book this evening and should have it done by tomorrow if I'm lucky, Monday by the latest.

Just waiting for Sam to finish his T book. I took the unclaimed T because I had to finish a borrowed book before it got automatically returned.
