Well, I leave for an overseas 3 week Christmas vacation that probably won't have much reading time, so we will see. And I haven't touched the middle two categories yet (though I am in progress with two of the books). But I am going to try my hardest.

When are you leaving for your holiday?"
I leave on the 9th and return the 30th. I might actually have to re-pick some of the books as they are books I don't actually own on my physical TBR and I am having trouble tracking them down.

You are free to re-pick your books, of course. I've being doing that as I find books which crossover other challenges better :)
I also find it annoying when I have trouble tracking some books down!

The one I am having trouble with is 2b: "b. Books with the least number of ratings" So it won't be the books on my goodreads TBR with the least ratings, but the books I have access to that have the least number of ratings.

That's fine. In fact, for this whole Trim challenge, I've limited my choices to books I actually physically own and are sitting on piles around the house ;p

2.The Sixth Man (King & Maxwell #5) READ: 10/10/2016

Well done! :D

I've completed sections 1 & 4. And, I have only two CDs to go for The Girl on the Train, which will complete section 2. That will leave my monstrosity which I am planning on reading next month. So I anticipate finishing this game.
However, I am still working on some other games (most old) for PAS. Lost 2014 - 2 books, Scattegories - 7 books, Pursuit Round 3 - 3 books and Moving Mountains 2016 - 2 books.

Bea, you are doing great! I also still have to read books for other challlenges, but those are for other groups. I'm slowly getting there.
Today I completed my goodreads 2016 reading challenge!

Congrats, Lusie.
Thanks to both of you regarding my TRIM, but I really did not have many books to read - just 11. Yet, I am glad of that as I really wanted to finish old games this year. Not going to do it, but I will come close.

2/3 way through this challenge and the stats say we have achieved 53.35% of our group goal! (223 out of 418 books). We are slowing down... I don't know if most people are trying to tackle their big books or if we are just getting distracted in finishing other seasonal challenges that are finishing up tomorrow? Nevertheless, I still think 50%+ is a good number to finish on and we've still got 4 weeks to go :)
For myself, I've got 12 of 22 so doing quite well, if I do say so myself! Planning to start Crime and Punishment (for popular book, 2a) on Dec 1 though I have my doubts on finishing by end of Dec :p

Oops! I forgot to update my post, Tien. I have read 10/11 and finished #1, #2, and #4 sections. I only have the monstrosity left. I will start it after Dec 1.
That's ok, Bea... 1 book doesn't really make that much difference to the percentage but good on you for nearly finishing! Only 1 to go! You've been really focused this year ;p

Well, I have met most of my goals to complete old games as well as finish the current games this year. So I am very proud of that. The good news is that next year should be a more relaxing year of reading...not so many "must finish" goals/books.

Bea I have the same plan for my monstrosity
It's great that you have met most of your goals to complete old challenges!

That's a lot of books read!!
I've just been so busy with work! Not had much time for reading at all. And it's summer, which means more to do in the garden - so generally less spare time for anything LOL!
I'm hoping the week before and after Christmas will be a lot less busy work-wise and looking forward to lots of spare time :)

I actually don't think I'll be able to complete this challenge, though... I need to focus on shorter books, otherwise I'm not going to meet my 2016 reading challenge, which would be a shame.

Completed Part 1! I'm about 100 pages into Crime & Punishment (should be able to finish this month) and halfway through another book for Part 2. That will leave about 6 books to read, um... I'm not sure. I may be able to but it will be pushing it; I'm hopeful ;)

Yay! And well done on taking on Crime & Punishment!
In my mind, there's only 2 weeks left to the month though really it's closer to 3 weeks but I'm discounting the last week with Christmas/NYE etc... as I don't think I'd get much reading done!
How's everyone going? If you could update your thread, I'll update the group totals tomorrow :)

ooh, good luck, Cassie! Looks like you're going to be extra busy this holiday season ;)

Pleased to see we did quite well the last fortnight! We've read 54 books since the last update so that brought us up to 66.11% of the group's goal (277 out of 419 books). If we can keep up this rate until the end of the challenge (Dec 31), we will actually get up to 80% which would be a Fantastic result!
This will be the last update on group's goal mid-challenge. The next one will be the total on completion. Put your back to it, peeps, and read read read ;p

I'm finding this group goal thing is actually pushing me to read for this challenge!
I'm very happy that I'm halfway through Crime & Punishment (and enjoying it) this morning that I'm confident now of finishing it before by end of next week. And if I manage the last 2 (v. thin books) for Part 4 to complete it. That's probably all I can manage in the time left for this challenge. It won't complete the challenge but I'll be very happy with this result :D

Well done, LynnB & Bea!
27 books are quite an achievement, LynnB, congratulations! You'll have just as many added to tbr by Christmas, yes? lol

Haha, Tien! No doubt!
Thanks, Lusie and Tien. I have got to say that The Gilded Hour really surprised me. For a 732 page book, it flew!
