In a closer vote than it has been the last few months, our November 2016 BOTM will be Brideshead Revisited, by Evelyn Waugh.

The only book eligible for the randomizer this month is Cleansed by Fire, which will be dropped from the nominations list for next month.

Three books will be added to the nominations list for next month (it would be just 2, but I meant to add 6 last month and only added 5, so I've got to catch up to get to 15):

Daphne Adeane, by Maurice Baring

Amoris Laetitia: Apostolic Exhortation on the Family, by Pope Francis

Life of St. Catherine of Siena: The Classic on Her Life and Accomplishments as Recorded by Her Spiritual Director, by Blessed Raymond of Capua

Even though I didn't vote for it, I am excited to be reading Brideshead Revisited next month - it has been on my list for a long time and my interest in reading Waugh was only increased by reading Literary Converts: Spiritual Inspiration in an Age of Unbelief last month. Let us know if you plan to join us.

It has come highly recommended to me by those who have read it. In fact, my 29-year-old son pulled his copy from his bookshelf and gave me his copy when I told him we were considering reading it.

The Shelfari 1,001 group also selected this as its BOTM, so if any one is interested, feel free to drop in over there to join that discussion.

MaryAnn (EmilyD1037) I have this as an e-book. I plan to join the discussion.
