In Memoriam:
Justin Time
Jul 04, 2014 - Apr 27, 2016
Justin took off, the wind carrying him along at hurricane speed, shifting between 130 and 140 mph, another wind of similar force pounding AGAINST Tristan as he attempted to fly, slowing him down.
"What?" Tristan felt himself slowing down.
Justin laughed merrily.
He spread his hands, shrugging. "I tried," he said, with a small, rueful smile.
Nyssa smiled back. "Are you giving up, then?"
"Never," he replied immediately. "I simply know my limits. And when to cut my losses."
"Then what now?" Nyssa asked Justin.
"We part ways as unlikely friends?" he suggested hopefully, smiling a bit.
Nyssa nodded once, a small smile on her lips. "Why not?"
He gestured with his hands. "Shoo."
Injust shakes his head "I'm not leaving until I get a sandwich."
Justin rolled his eyes. He spread his hands. "Well, as you can see, I don't have the ingredients for a proper sandwich with me at this time. What a shame."
"I think I trust you," Nyssa said, smiling still.
Justin smiled. "That so?" he said, teasing, then dropped her gaze. "I shouldn't have done that. This is never going to work."
She was suddenly angry. Angry at herself for letting him mean something to her, and angry at him for doing the same. "Is that what you do then? You give a girl hope then smash it right away?" She asked, anger in her posture and eyes.
He quailed. "Hey, you said it first."
"Then why did you kiss me?" She demanded angrily.
"You kissed me first!" he said defensively.
She nearly exploded. "That was a kiss on the cheek! That was a goodbye kiss! Not an I love you kiss!"
