Anya | 82 comments I haven´t read many books where the main character is an introvert but I have enjoyed the few I have read for example fangirl or the sea of tranquility.
I would prefer if the protagonist was a female and like a tiny bit of romance wouldn´t hurt but I am open to all suggestions!

Anya | 82 comments Thank you everyone, I have added a quite of these to my to read list. I have read Finding aubrey and enjoyed it, and I would be fool to say I didn't enjoyed gatsby although I had some difficulty with the language at the begining, never thought of nick as the typical introvert. Maybe I should be a bit more specific in my book quest, I am looking for where the maincharacter either is an introvert who is opening up learning to come out and socialise you know a loner learning to socialise and find friends or simply a introvert falling in love.

Aubrey | 27 comments I think Seraphina sounds close to what you need. The protagonist is an introvert who ends up doing quite a bit of talking, and acknowledges her difficulty in maintaining friendships and somewhat poor social skills. However, the discussion typically has more focus on the mystery at hand than it does about her learning to socialize. She does find friend (s) and/or fall in love.

Anya | 82 comments I have actually read seraphina but thank you Aubren for reminding me of it maybe I should read the sequel :)

Alberta and Jacob is a Norwegian classic, probably the most introverted protagonist I have come across. It's coming of age but not YA. The protagonist is maybe 16-19 and it covers maybe a year of her life. There is a tiny bit of romance, a very tiny bit.

Anya | 82 comments Thank you Lobstergirl, it seems interesting so I have now added it to my TBR! :)

SamSpayedPI | 2299 comments These are told from a male POV but otherwise fit your criteria (main character an introvert, and a little romance):
