Christine | 30 comments 2016 my goal was 50 books and I managed 63. 2017 I have selected 75 books.
Looking forward to starting the challenge.

I have changed my challenge from 75 down 52 books. I have a lot going on this year with weddings etc so rather than read under pressure trying to meet my goal I thought lowering the number would be more manageable.

Christine | 30 comments Wow! I didn't expect to have read an entire book before 2017 isn't even 24 hrs old. That's exactly what happened. I couldn't put this book down and sleep deprivation was the last thing on my mind. Only a complete book nerd would see the new year in this way lol.
What a fascinating psychological thriller that grips you a little more with every chapter. I can feel this is going to be an exciting year.
Happy New Year to all Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ members. Thank you all for your reviews, insights and recommendations in 2016.

Book No. 1 The Ice Beneath Her by Camilla Grebe Camilla Grebe

Christine | 30 comments Book 2. The Girl With No Past by Kathryn Croft by Kathryn Croft
A pleasant enough book but personally prefer psychological thrillers with more tension and suspense. If you don't want anything too heavy, then this book is for you.

Christine | 30 comments Book 6. The Girls Next Door (Detective Eden Berrisford, #1) by Mel Sherratt by Mel Sherratt

Not one of my favorite books. I like something more suspenseful. The story had promise in the beginning but it just fizzled out after that.
3 stars.

Christine | 30 comments Book 8. The Breakdown by B.A. Paris by B.A. Paris

I was overly excited to read this new release after enjoying the author's debut novel "Behind Closed Doors ". This book was even better than the 1st. I found myself reading it at every possible moment. An absolute page turner! Now I am left wondering what I can read next that will live up to my expectations after consuming this psychological thriller in less than 24 hrs. This author has raised the bar considerably and I will be eagerly awaiting any new work.
5 star.

Christine | 30 comments Book 9. Terrifying Tales by Jon Scieszka by Jon Scieszka

A YA short stories book of terrifying tales by various authors. Short stories with various themes aimed at YA audience's to get them interested in reading. I bought this book for my 12 yr old granddaughter who thoroughly enjoyed it and wet her appetite to begin reading more. I highly recommend this book for YA readers who may be lacking some reading skills but like quick scary reads.
