2. A non-fiction book that scares you: The Ice Storm: An Historic Record in Photographs of January 1998 by Mark Abley (it frightened me because it showed how dependent we are on electricity- and how terrible it can be without it)

3. Memoirs: I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou (I have finally read this moving autobiography)

10. An NF book about something that happened the decade I was born: The Prophet's Camel Bell by Margaret Laurence (the author's husband went to Africa to build wells)

11. A funny NF book: Winterdance: The Fine Madness of Running the Iditarod by Gary Paulsen
The sections where he is learning how to train the dogs are very funny, since he is quite clueless. He does learn and goes on to complete two Iditarods.

I do not read a large number of NF but I think I should. Thanks to other challenges I read more on 2016 than I have in years. Going to give this a go. Let's see if I can manage 10. Will also keep the list of 30 in mind.
