I'd gladly do it again but I'm more open to hearing how it's helped people. Also more in the sense of how I can help you because I feel I didn't do enough to promote people's interviews but again, separate from my website.

It takes time to sell books, Justin. It also depends on what you are after. Many authors are doing the blogs because they see a benefit to expanding their exposure. and building interest in their books.
Another way to do the same thing is getting bloggers in your genre to interview you. Sometimes you have to pay by doing a blog tour. This is sort of a homemade blog tour doing double duty. We are basically pooling our resources to introduce each other to our audiences. I know several people who follow my blogs have mentions they have discovered interesting new authors with all we've done lately.
The first week we did the blog tours, my books sales jumped fifty percent. I saw at least three or four reviews from it. Do I think it works? Yes. It reminds me of weight-lifting or learning to dance- really any kind of skill. If you want to succeed you have to work on it every day.

all in all, I'd say this was definitely worthwhile.
Yes I agree with all above. Also for me before I started the Blog Rounds my site got zero visits. After, on the days I'm not posting anything at all, I get an average of 10 views through Google a day, low, I know but on Blog Rounds I average 30-75 per article because people read the others, watch my book trailer so those views go up, signup for my newsletter, and then get my book through either KU or buying directly. The Round started in Jan and my book hasn't ranked lower than 70k in the overall Amazon store since. I'd like it higher but I'm not complaining. I'm happy and blessed for every single thing no matter how big or small
Don't be envious at all Alex. I'm doing the same things you guys are and not any differently. I think it's important for us to all hop over to each blog participating and leave comments etc which may help others share the articles and open our personalities up for others to experience more. This is one area of the Blog Round that is apart of the process but not upheld as much.

Speaking of the Blog Round 7 form will open up for sign ups later tonight. That will cover the month of May

You are an inspiration, Alex!
I need to catch up on a couple shares, plus start doing the commenting you are. Big stuff happening at work for the past week and a half, so I am behind a bit.
But I was pleasantly surprised to see a new review on Dr. Guinea Pig George, and would like to think it was a direct result of this blog-go-round!

Hey all, great work on your interviews! The signup form is open for May so if you have a new release that month or a giveaway you're planning that month, this would be perfect to help spread the word and get more exposure for it.
Alex, also I think if you do the next round mention in your interview what you went through with Amazon recently (no details that will get you blacklisted) and how you're having to basically re-launch your books. It may compell some readers to check you out and help re-build up your ratings and reviews faster.

I love Pinterest too much, I get distracted by the all the beautiful artwork. I swear I have good intentions but if there's realistic Pokemon to check out, how can I say no?
And I signed up :)

I just saw Peri's email and responded to interview questions quickly. However, to do justice to this endeavor I would prefer to wait until late May or anytime in June to be supportive to other authors. If it would be best for me to drop out altogether, I would understand. Let me know what is best for everyone.
I will wait to hear from you. Thank you for your understanding.

Take care of yourself Karen and I will jot you down for the last 2 weeks of May. Your health comes first.

Take care Karen- It can all wait.

I believe the last 2 weeks of May will work out. If not, I will let you all know right away. Your good wishes and prayers mean a lot. Thank you again.
Karen

And thank you, Alex, it's one of my favourite photos :D
