I read both this and First Strike last month before it was decided that these two novellas were going to be this month's read. I really liked seeing Megan get her own story, because she was the one unresolved thread from Unlawful Contact that I wanted to see more of! This was just what I needed!
I am starting this one right now:D@Trea, are you reading ahead to book 6, or are you going to read it in July?

I haven't decided yet, Ezi. First Strike was one that I had a hard time with, and it's making me hesitate to read book 6 right now. I'm double dipping Striking Distance (meaning that I am using it in this group read and in a challenge for another group), but the great thing about this particular double dip is that I can push it off for another month. I may just do that and work on finishing my Inspired by Toys challenge at the end of this month.
Okay because I am really liking this one--4-5stars although I am only 1 1/2 hours in. But it is shaping up nicely.So proud of Megan and how hard she was worked to get herself together. She also calls her daughter Emily "Sweet Pea" like I call mine!

Why isn't Donnie under survelliance or at least have a restraining order on him? I mean hitting Megan is assault and battery or does Colorado have more relaxed rules.I think Mark and Darcangelo have been in every book since their characters were introduced!
Colorado sure has a lot of military guys :D

I think that Megan figured that Donnie would never bother her because he didn't care about Emily at all, though I agree, she should have gotten a restraining order on him anyway!
I love the fact that Marc and Darcangelo have been in every book since they were introduced, which is why I am wondering how Striking Distance is going to tie in. First Strike didn't leave much for the imagination on that front.
