Ladyslott | 1880 comments I like Lauren Graham; I’ve enjoyed her on Gilmore Girls and Parenthood. I wasn’t crazy about her first book Someday, Someday Maybe but since this was about Gilmore Girls I decided to read it. I was disappointed. The book is okay but I’m not sure who is ‘talking - Lauren Graham or Lorelei Gilmore. Many of the stories she tells are rapid fire and go off on long tangents - much like Lorelei. It was kind of distracting.

There really wasn’t much depth to the story. I laughed out loud a few times - especially the story about her first visit to REI with her boyfriend Peter Krause. It was the only really funny moment in the book. In general I found the book very superficial. I was mildly entertained, but since this is now the second book of her’s that underwhelmed me I doubt I will read another.

Karin | 9063 comments Thanks. I've been thinking about whether or not to get this book, but will pass.

I really wanted to like it but in the end it was just okay.

Born a Crime was just brilliant- my favorite book of the year so far.
